Generally, we believe there exist two ways of travel: one is formatting a group which is led by a tour guide; the other is doing your own bagpack travelling. For the majority of people, they regard traveling in group led by guide as a better choice due to their trust in professional travel agency. However, I believe that traveling independently, especially being a bagpacker, will delight us more from these perspectives.

We cannot deny the fact that travel in group led by guide might be more convenient since the tour guide will consider about all the details, ranging from accommodation to specific schedule, of your trip. However, we should realize almost every travel agency is interest-pursuing. Thus, no one can promise us whether the hotel ordered by them is cost-effective or the schedule arranged by guide is reasonable. Yet, traveling independently allows us to do all these stuffs by ourselves, and then we are able to find us a most effective and satisfactory travel arrangement.

Besides, in my opinion, travel is wonderful method of completely relaxing me from daily my stressful work and its strict rules and regulations. To my disappointment, travel in group will made me have no choice but obey the fixed time schedule, consider about all my group members’ felling, and even bend to guide’s unreasonable command. All those referred to before cannot help me enjoy my delightful time during my travel. In other word, my purpose of relaxing myself cannot be achieved and thus my travel will become totally meaningless even time-wasting.

Last but not least, the process of arranging a trip by myself, to a large extent, for me, is as significant and interesting as travel itself. When you search the information about your destination online, prepare everything for yourself, or read books and magazines about scenic spots, a valuable experience will be accumulated. In addition, after gaining a cheerful pleasure from your successful independent trip, you must be proud of yourself. Doubtless, such kind of self-satisfaction is impossible to be achieved if you just sign for a group conducted by any travel agency.


To sum, travel independently can insure oneself various kinds of pleasure which are not exist in travel in group led by guide. And thus, I strongly support and recommend everyone to be a bagpacker and enjoy your own unique trip.
