Do you agree or disagree? The best way to travel is in a group led by a tour guide.

Self-service and group with guide are two main ways in modern tourism market. Although as statistic data responses that more and more tourists chose self-service tour way these years, group with guide method is still playing the dominant role in the market. I think travelling in group led by a tour guide has more advantages than other ways and will be my first choice if I would like to travel somewhere.

One side, group could make an economical and reasonable arrangement for tourists. Commonsense tells us price of goods and accommodation in travel sites is always higher than usual especially in midseason. If tourists choose group way, not only the price could be lower because of large quantity of consumers’ discount, but also the quality of service could be guaranteed. Travel to some natural or distant site where traffic condition might not be perfect, self-service followers would face more difficulties and high extra cost. Organizer who is familiar with the itinerary would arrange a reasonable schedule for selecting. It could make your tour more efficient and high cost performance. Moreover, unless travelling in a tour group, individual Chinese citizen could not obtain the tour visa to US. All aspects prove that group for touring is the perfect choice.

On the other side, tour guide could help tourists to understand where they visit or play. Whether it is artificial construction or natural landscape, tourists are not professionists and could not understand in-depth. It is valueless just gaining a superficial understanding through cursory observation when we are in tourism. Thus, a professional guide is indispensable. In Forbidden City in Beijing, guide could tell us the which palace was the birthplace of last emperor of Qing Dynasty; in Yellow Stone National Park in America, guide could explain for us why those stones made up and curved; in hot and wet Amazon rainforest national park, guide could introduce specific plants and insects to tourists about characters and practices. Guide could be a good guard to keep tourists away from danger and a excellent advisor in teaching tourist local customs.

In my point of view, travelling in group led by a tour guide could be by all means the best option.
