agree or disagree: The best way to travel is in a group led by a tour guide.  

Different people might have different ideas concerning whether to travel with a group that led by a tour guide or travel alone. But as to me, I generally prefer to travel alone in order to enjoy greater freedom and experience and learn more from traveling.

I concede that people differ in their opinions on how they travel, some prefer to hire a travel agency that arranges every detail of the trip, some simply prefer to travel on themselves. My observation indicates that this difference is basically caused by people’s different expectation of their trips. Traveling, in someone’s eyes, is completely a way to relax and is a reward for a long and tiring period of work.. For these people, it will not come as a surprise that they want all their trips are arranged so that they could enjoy one hundred percent relaxation and comfort during their trip. Consequently it is quite reasonable for these people to hire a travel agency and enjoy their service.

However for some other people, they might have different goals for their travel. For some, traveling means a great opportunity to freely experience new way of life in a strange place, for some others, traveling is a way to learn a different culture or certain knowledge that cannot be experienced in textbooks, so on and so forth. But despite their still different goals, one thing they have in common is that the pursuit of relaxation is not the priority in their expectations of travel. So under such circumstance, there are people who would prefer to travel alone. And I belong to this group.

One thing that is great about traveling alone, as mentioned above, lies in the freedom to truly experience a different way of life. Unlike traveling with a group in which all the scheduals and details of the trip is completely arranged, when traveling alone, now we have the chance to choose the place we really want to go and stay there as long as we want. Besides, instead of simply having a glimpse of several places of interest which what the tourist group usually do, when traveling alone, we could really go to talk to the local people, to see and experience how their lives are like. In this case, the freedom that is enjoyed when traveling alone offers the opportunity to really get to know a place which was unfamiliar to us before.

Besides, for some people, traveling actually is a way to learn new things, and through traveling alone, they could learn the most from the trip. To better illustrate such circumstance, I want to take my own experience as an example. As an architecture student, traveling is actually the best way to learn the great buildings that I’ve seen on the books many times and get to know the context in which these buildings are originated. I’ve traveled a lot of places in the world and have found out that through traveling alone, I could not only decide the buildings I want to visit, but also take my time to draw the sketches or paintings whenever I want to. In this way, I could make the best use of the trip to increase my knowledge in architecture and learn the most from the trips.

To conclude, although traveling with a group led by a tour guide would definitely brings about more easiness and relaxation for the trips, traveling alone still has its own advantages in offering greater freedom and better learning chance for some travelers.

1.本篇字数偏多，长句的运用比较频繁，有些地方有些罗嗦。
2.个人认为作者的第二段和第三段有些多余，虽然开头点题利落，但进入主题比较慢。同时第三段给人感觉是四五段的总括段，其实放在第一段用比较简洁的几句概括一下，第二段不变还是让步段，然后再在每段深入的分析，逻辑上可能感觉会更好。
