电气工程背景申请建筑照明怎么样？

菜鸟本科读电气工程，研究生阶段由于学校和导师的方向，做的工程与项目都是照明方向的，包括和建筑和规划的老师合作，做了一些照明设计和照明规划，不知道申请的时候怎么选择？有专门的Lighting方向？或者像国内一样只有精确到导师？作品集怎么做呢？

我知道清华有建筑技术方向下的建筑照明研究。但是这边的建筑照明具体归哪里管就很难说了，是不是偏向土木一些呢？最好去工程那边也问问。这种比较冷门的方向最好广撒网问问。

一个比较厉害的照明设计老师郝洛西，当年上过一个学期她的课，很不错。

我看到这个是MFA的学位，虽然上过几门艺术和设计的课程，个人的手绘基础也还可以，但是我本科的课程大部分还是工程类的啊，申请的时候会不会有困难？另外Fine Art会不会不给钱。。。:O

毕业以后可以在专门的照明公司工作，像我以前工作的设计公司隔壁有家公司就叫lightening，专门做建筑照明的。一些比较大的事务所有自己的照明设计部，所以也会招人的。

目前什么行业都不乐观。

Parsons在自家的页面上是这样说的：

Students must hold a four-year undergraduate degree or a graduate degree to be eligible to apply to the MFA LD graduate program, typically in one of the following disciplines: Environmental Design, Interior Design, Architecture Design, Engineering, Fine Arts, Product Design or Theater Arts. Students who have little background in design or building-related disciplines or who lack architectural drawing skills may be accepted into the program conditionally but will be required to enroll in the Department's Summer Studies in Architecture as a prerequisite for admission in the following Fall term.

所以你的申请背景不会有问题，一般来说美国的设计专业都很提倡跨专业申请。关于奖学金，在美国设计类Master本身能拿到的奖学金就很少，当然你背景很优秀一样能拿offer。

顺便贴下Parsons对申请Master of Fine Arts in Lighting Design (MFA LD)的作品集要求：

Your portfolio is a visual representation of your background, talents and abilities. The portfolio will be reviewed with consideration for the applicant's background. The portfolio should include examples of creative work that best reflects the ability and the interests of the applicant. The portfolio may include:

architectural drawings, models and renderings (minimize use of architectural technical drawings)
freehand drawing (architecture, human figure, still life)
3dimensional work (sculpture, installations, fabrications)
2dimnsional design and art work (painting, printmaking, graphic design, web design)
photography (not snapshots)
