It’s better to use own knowledge and experience to solve question, or ask other people for advice?(08.5.31)

We have different ways to solve problems we face: some people would like to solve problems by their own basing on their past experience and knowledge; others would like to turn to their friends or relatives for advices. As far as I am concerned, asking other people for suggestions is a better way for following reasons.


To start with, different people have varied backgrounds and experiences, and undoubtedly have different opinions about the same problems. Taking their views into consideration, we may acquire a wider view of the same problem and come to a better conclusion. For example, I was wanted to buy a bike so that I would be saved a lot of trouble walking long distances on campus. After talking to several friends of mine, especially those who had bought one, I gave up. Bikes were targets of thieves on campus. These bikes, although very cheap, were actually stolen bikes. Besides, walking much was good for my health. In the end, I enjoyed waking in our beautiful campus with friends, talking and laughing all the way.


Besides, we may have to solve some problems we have never handled before. In this case, our own knowledge and experience fall short. Asking for advices from others may be the best and the most possible way we can do. For instance, if we are conducting a research in some field, nothing will be better than inviting suggestions from teachers or professors who surely know better than we do. In this way, lots of faults can be avoided and we can reach our destination sooner.


Furthermore, inviting advices can be a better way to relate to people we respect, especially if they may be affected by our decision. Let us say you do not like the neighbourhoods and is considering moving to another place. This decision, big one in our lives, should be discussed with our families. Your wife may not want to leave because of her best friends; your children may hate to be transferred to another school. You need to ask for their opinions on this issue, or the bond between you and your families may be hurt. Since they may feel that their choices are not respected.



All in all, it is better to ask for other persons' advices on issues we are dealing with, only in this way can we acquire a wider horizon and solve problems we face for the first time, while let others feel that we respect their choices.

语言错误比较多，楼主应该在语言表达上在下功夫。另外就是用词过于简单，句子结构过于简单，词汇没有做到多样化，句式结构也没有能够做到长短相结合。希望努力改进吧。
