Mankind has always struggled forward no matter what problems lies in its way.
--- People often struggle with various issues & problems that they confront.
Yes, when we meet problems, most of us will positively solve them by using different methods.
---when coping with these issues and problems, people use various approaches.
Some people would like to use their own experience and knowledge to solve the problems, because they have a confidence in themselves.
--- some of them prefer to solve problems on their own, for they believe in themselves, with great confidence.
From my personal perspective, however, I think we should ask other people for advice before we solve the problems.
---for me, however, I think, before starting working on the problems, seeking other people's advice is more favourable.
Firstly, our knowledge is not so broad to solve any problem. Actually, our knowledge is limited in a certain extent, and we can not know anything correctly and directly. So, it is easy to agree that we can not solve anything by using our own knowledge.
--- first, no one can fix all problems by themselves. Rather than all knowledge and skills, maximiumly people can have only a limited, small fraction of them, so nobody can solve all problems.
For example, usually, an investor might use his/her knowledge to help clients to save money and make profits; However, she/he has no certain knowledge to help clients to save life if clients get a serious disease. Only medical doctor can do that, because the doctor has certain medical background and relevant medical knowledge.
---for example, in most cases, an investor can do better with investment to save clients' money and make a profit than others do; while it comes to handling a serious disease, we can reply only on medical doctors, for they have relevant knowledge and skills much better than others.
Furthermore, our experience is not always correct or useful. Just the same as our knowledge, our experience is also restricted in a certain area. We can not and have no chance to experience everything in the world and get all kinds of experience..
--- Furthermore, except for limited knowledge and skills, people are also constrained by our experience in the same way. Everyboday has their specific focus on some limited areas, so hardly can they acquire all experience necessary to fix all the problems well on their own.
Secondly, getting advice from other people is a good way for us to efficiently solve our problems.
--- second, seeking others' advice is an efficient way for us to solve problems. ( good is too vague here to make your point)
There is an old Chinese saying--" suggestions from two people will be better than the idea thought by ourselves", which means that we should obtain other's advice before we solve question.
--- (sayings, in writing, are often considered as cliches , which most markers think a flaw even if you correctly use the saying in the context. )
Why? Just as I mentioned, the reason is that individual's knowledge and experience are limited.
--- (asking a question is a questionable strategy in formal writing because readers are waiting for your explanations rather than helping you to answer your questions. plus, expressions such as "just as i mentioned" also should be avoided becuase except for adding nothing new information, it spoils the smooth flow in your writing.)
I still remember that last year I was an intern working at an U.S.-based law firm in Shanghai, my partner required me to draft a legal opinion for one client. Then, I drafted the first version and put several laws in it. However, after seeing my legal opinion, my office's chief partner told me that the client did not care about the laws but what they should do according to the laws, and it was unnecessary to show these opaque laws to client. So, if I had obtained this advice from my partner before I drafted the legal opinion, I would not spend so much time to search these laws.
--- (using a narrative story as an example is a good choice to support your thesis. what you need to do is make it as short as 2-3 sentences because a too much long story will shift your writing's focus from explaining and persuading to telling a story.)
Combining with the reasons I mentioned above, I would say that in order to solve our questions efficiently, let's ask other people for advice.
--- All in all. to efficiently solve problems, ask others for advice. ( the ending paragraph is off the track and also, off your previous opinion. in this essay you are persuading readers to believe that getting others' advice can solve problems better than not, so reconfirm your thesis here and fresh up readers' memories. Last, too wordy. remember the less words you use the more effective your writing is, if you can clearly express yourself.)
for your reference only, regard all nonesense you think it is. |
