Many teachers assign homework to students every day. Do you think that daily homework is necessary for students? Use specific reasons and details to support your answer.

With the rapid development of society, education is concerned by more people as a result of that educational background becomes a significant element of individual success. As we entered school when we were young, homework is one of the most important composing of our study career. However, the debate of the issue whether daily homework is necessary or not never stop in recent years. Someone think everyday homework benefit our education, while others point out homework has so much disadvantage that we should give up it. In my point of view, the importance of homework will be different in various situations.

To begin with, homework is necessary for students to absorb the basic knowledge. Take verbal education as an example. A student may be required to copy words for several times as homework. Without copying, one may not remember the spell and the meaning of the words. That is to say, some basic knowledge has to be remembered through homework. In this case, daily homework is necessary tool to help students to master useful knowledge.

On the other hand, after students learned basic knowledge, they will have more intense trend to show the creativity which is also vital to their future. In this situation, students are looking forward to freer time out of class and homework when they could read some special useful references instead of exercise books. If teachers continue to assign homework every day, students will hardly have their own time to try new technology or knowledge. Therefore, teachers should encourage the students' creative activities by assigning less homework and giving them valuable guide.

What is more, daily homework could be modified to improve the quality of education. More creative homework could be included into educational schedule, which could lead students to a new study level. The traditional copying homework is kinds of wasting time when students have hold the knowledge, and which should be replaced by some more valuable homework. Teachers should have a broader view of children growth when they assign homework. They should tutor students to use time on worthy homework which could actually benefit their future.

To sum up, daily homework is possibly necessary or not according to the special situation. As a teacher, he/she should assign appropriate homework based on the need of students' growth.
