Many people went to school when they were young and some of them could still remember that everyday they had to finish the homework their teachers assigned. Some of the parents and teachers believe that posturing homework is a good way to test the knowledge the students gained. Contrary to the idea that teachers assign homework everyday, I reckon that students should not be assigned homework in their everyday lives.

Firstly, it is true that homework can help all the students learning well. But in my opinion, assigning homework is different from person to person. For instance, there is no need for a student who gets straight “A” in the exam to do the homework everyday. The celebrated female chemist Mary Curie was a good student in her primarily school. Her teacher asked the children in her class to finish the task everyday except her because of her good mark. As a result, she could read a lot of materials she was fond of which helped her settled a perfect foundation for her future research. If the teacher forced Mrs. Curie to hand the work everyday, several years later the world would lose such a greatest person. The case is not rare, it is typical of dozens I have encountered.

In addition, homework should not be assigned everyday to the students who have a gift of creative. Let’s take Tomas Edison as an example. We all know that he was not good at the subjects that school took. His teacher didn’t like him at all. It was her mother who insisted him not to do the homework everyday that made him to be the noted inventor among the world. It is hard to imagine that what the world would like if Edison did his homework everyday and had no time to do the experiments he loved.

But it may not be denied that if students do nothing about their homework, they couldn’t be good in the courses they take in the school and they can’t have a bright future. Not necessary though the everyday homework is, the advantages of it can not be forgotten.

In general, teachers should assign the homework according to the situation that the students are in. As for me, I can not disagree but vote for the issue that students should not do the homework everyday.
