我马上就要毕业了，tamu的healthcare方向。。。全美国只有两个学校专门在healthcare这个方向有专门的研究中心，一个是tamu,一个是clemson. 但是tamu的规模要大得多，很多clemson的本科生来tamu读硕士。3 M1 X2 Y" x. O1 R- N; Q
我们学院的Center for Health Systems & Design针对全院所有专业（arch, landscape, urban planning, construction）感兴趣并完成相关要求课程的学生都发给certificate in health system & design, 本中心著名教授有：Mardelle M. Shepley， Kirk Hamilton, George Mann， Roger Ulrich， James Varni， Pliny Fisk， Susan D. Rodiek。 这些人都是在health 领域的著名人物，大家可以google一下。每年美国的healthcare design会议，tamu都是参与的活跃力量，教授们有非常多的presentation。
9 `* ?/ G3 c) `; |全美基本前20名的healthcare方向的建筑公司高层每年都要来学校开会，并参与studio的教学。包括hks, hok, Perkins+will, HDR, RTKL, ZGF, NBBJ等等。。。4 M1 r# Q& K4 f# |
往年，找工作是小菜一碟，硕士大概也就是４５k左右，比其他牛专业要差远了。& L0 Y  G+ `6 @( z6 j
今年，经济危机，我已经onsite了很多企业，但是都让我等等等。。。在考虑读个health方面的phd了。。。

大家要关注各个学校的网站，他们的研究会中心就反映了研究方向，在google以下教授们，就知道好不好了。。。

如果想要搞很fancy的设计，就不要考虑这里了，这里很实际！可以说很土。
) P7 B4 P* ~) q% w想要奖，一定要哭穷。' g  @# k# q) d. X7 e
没奖，来了也可以申请ｔａ，但是现在经济不好，估计学院里预算也减了，难度大了。但是我那一届２／３有assistant，基本全奖了。

今年实在就业形势太糟糕

我也有打算申请PHD呢，虽然还有一年才毕业

都要坚强起来，因为除了坚强，我们别无选择

还有一点忘记提了，现在美国healthcare方向的潮流是evidence-based design. 就是要求一切医疗建筑的设计都要建立在已经证明的对病人对家庭对工作人员有益的研究基础之上。这个theory基本可以说就是由我们学校的几个faculty建立并发展起来的。
% J+ R# Q6 H+ K今年经济太差了，不过已经有好转的迹象了，已经有很多谣言，马上几个超billion的healthcare项目要上马，希望我能赶快找到工作啊！也祝福大家都拿到好offer。

我当时选offer就很简单，哪家性价比高去哪家。tamu可以说是美国现在上档次的学校里学费最便宜的了。我们校长老是吵着要升学费，开了好几次听证会了，可是就是升不起来。。。我现在住在学校的公寓里，一室一厅，免费gas免费internet免费水免费cable，房租才411。在学校里还有很多的工作机会，建筑学院里中国人基本一半以上有assistantship, 基本人人有州内学费。。。教授们也都超级nice，我们系的Kirk教授为了帮助我们这一届找工作，给我们开了无数次会，提供了一长串的大公司高层的联系方式，还帮我们直接给大公司高层们发邮件推销我们。我们都感动死了。。。kirk老先生也是全美建筑界知名人物，是FAIA，FACHA，WHR建筑公司的创始人，就是其中的H，不为私利，主动地帮我们。。。其他教授也是为我们找工作出了很大力。。。我们系的师生关系真的是很好啊。。。$ z( ?: M" k2 }  z
建筑的毕业后工作，一年才赚那么点钱，还要投资那么多学费，我个人觉得是不值啊。。。
" K- y+ p3 A; j! E我们tamu别的优点没有，就是老师们实在热心，学校便宜量又足。。。呵呵。。。
