Thanks to the modern technology, we are now living in a world where information is everywhere around us. We can easily know events happening around the globe. As far as I am concerned, this is really helpful that we should take advantage of this new trend to get more information about issues happening around the world. Some might argue that sometimes the issues are unlikely to affect our daily life that there is no need to care about them. I strongly disagree with this idea and my arguments are as follows.

Firstly, how can we define "things that are unlikely affect the life"? From my point of view, everything in this world has something to do with each other. You might say that the new policy in another nation has nothing to do with us, since we are in a different nation that is independent. But have you ever think about it that the leader in our nation might get influenced by the new policy? Nothing can exist isolatedly. The price of oil in America can have a profound effect on other countries’ economy. The quality of wool in Australia can decide the quality of sweaters that you buy. In this highly-cooperated world, everyone is connected to this society and a tiny event can have an effect on all of us to some extent. There is nothing that is unlikely affect our lives.

On another hand, keeping an eye on the events happening around the world is really of great significance. Do you think it is possible for a news-major student who never cares about the events happening around the world to be excellent? Or a student majors in management who only cares about the textbooks and pays no attention to the condition in companies to be an eminent leader ? For students, it is important to know the events around the globe and establish a connection between what they learn from textbooks and the real world. Only in this way can they made themselves suitable to this society. Not only for students, it is useful for everyone to pay attention to events around the world. It helps us to be well-informed, it provides us new perspectives, it gives us knowledge, etc. In a world, by paying attention to the events around the world, we can have a better understanding of not only the world but also ourselves.

From what have been discussed above, I think it is clear that knowing events happening around the world is important, so let's go and check out what is happening now.

Thanks to the modern technology, we are now living in a world where information is everywhere around us. (呃,怎么觉得这样写首句怪怪的,若有这样的例文,愿意和桑梓分享)We can easily know events happening around the globe.

From my point of view(好像老美不喜欢这样写,他们觉得有点装,直接用in my opinion吧), everything in this world has something to do with each other(换个表达吧). You might say that the new policy in another nation has nothing to do with us, since we are in a different nation that is independent. But have you ever think about it that the leader in our nation might get influenced by the new policy? Nothing can exist isolatedly. The price of oil in America can have a profound effect on other countries’ economy. The quality of wool in Australia can decide the quality of sweaters that you buy(这两个例子很能说明问题,好~). In this highly-cooperated world, everyone is connected to this society and a tiny event can have an effect on all of us to some extent. There is nothing that is unlikely affect our lives.(这句就不要了吧,有点啰嗦)- @# z9 i) I8 c7 e6 P# C0 g& [4 g$ p
# I8 w- C& W, n: w% I

On another(the other) hand, keeping an eye on the events happening around the world is really of great significance(感觉这句没说完,应该还有个because什么的吧,不然不能做段首总领句). Do you think it is possible for a news-major(?journalism major) student who never cares about the events happening around the world to be excellent? Or a student majors in management who only cares about the textbooks and pays no attention to the condition in companies to be an eminent leader ? For students, it is important to know the events around the globe and establish a connection between what they learn from textbooks and the real world. Only in this way can they made themselves suitable to this society. Not only for students, it is useful for everyone to pay attention to events around the world. It helps us to be well-informed, it provides us new perspectives, it gives us knowledge, etc. In a world, by paying attention to the events around the world, we can have a better understanding of not only the world but also ourselves.(这个总结句写的挺好的)

From what have been discussed above, I think it is clear that knowing events happening around the world is important, so let's go and check out what is happening now
