Do you agree ordisagree with the following statement? It is important to know events happeningaround the world, though sometimes they are unlikely to affect your daily life.Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.04/29/07

The advent oftelevision and computer have a profound effect on our everyday communication. It become easier and quicker for us to get access to the events happening allaround the world with a simple click on the internet. Facing the explodinginformation, many people are addicted to surfing the internet, scanning newsabout recent events. It seems nonsense to do that. Though paying attention towhat happened around can help us know more about the world, knowing too muchinformation does not benefit us more.

Knowing eventsthat is relevant to our daily life or our subject can no doubt benefit us alot. Sometimes, it even contribute to successes of work and study. For instance, caring about the currenteconomic climate, we could understand our nations domestic economic policiesbetter. Then, we are able to adjust our financial plan in order to suffer lessfrom the global recession. Also, reading the recent scientific discovery is agood way to learn more about our subjects. What's more? The experiment or creativework done by other people might even inspire us so that we can make a greatprogress.

But we shouldcarry out our duties and hardly have enough time and energy to learning all theevents happening around the world. A lot of work on our major subjects standsin line so that we can't help but paying a considerable amount of attention onit. How could we have so much part-time to be acquainted with events thatalmost have nothing to do with us? Moreover, it is nonsense for some people tospend time on news like whether Tom Cruise divorced, how Britney broke up withher husband and become insane, etc. Reading those gossips is just a waste oftime. If we just want to enjoy fun and have a relax, why don't we turn to somemore meaningful things such as movies, books or do some outdoor activities likehiking.

It is undeniablethat we should know some events happening all around the world. After all, wehuman beings are social animals and cannot live isolated from the world. However, what makes more sense is to choose those useful ones and avoid losingourselves in an enormous amount of information.

尽量少用we,our...
用第三人称比较好,比如people,individuals
主谓一致,要注意..
举行有点单一,丰富词汇~!
多用些转折的介词,如thus,therefore,on the contrary
使条例更清楚~!
