Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? It is better to finish a
project and then start another than to finish two projects at the same time. Use
specific reasons and examples to support your answer.(06/24/07)

Nowadays, in this rapid world, we are facing much more things than before that everyone has a lot of tasks to fulfill. Some like to finish a project and then start another, while others prefer to do more than one tasks simultaneously in order to be effecient. As for me, I would always focus on one task until it finishes before moving on to the next. In my opinion, it is much better than multitasking and my argument goes as follows.

Firstly, when dealing with too many tasks, we can not concentrate on our tasks. When we are tackling one certain thing, others might always linger in our minds that distracts our attention. While there are an avalanche of tasks to be done, we can not help but thinking like that "Hurry up and do everything now because everything else is waiting". As a result, everything can not be done perfectly in such a hurry.

Secondly, the energy we possess is limited and too many tasks at the same time might beyond the capacity, especially something that requires carefulness. Things can go out of control easily. As a science students, I always have many experiments to be done. At first, I tried to be "efficient" and try to do as many thing as possible at the same time. Once in a experiment, some solution needed to be heated for an hour. I put it on the heater, and then tried to make "good" use of the hour. I went to the sink to wash the tubes and other apparatus I had used. When I returned, to my astonishment, the boiling solution overflowed destroying not only my experiment but also the heater. From that moment, I realized that multitasking is disastrous. Only when we are dealing with one thing can we devote ourselves and make the best of our time, energy and expertise.

Finally, multitasking is stressful. Thinking of all the tasks is really depressing, like the work can never be finished. While with a single task, things are different. You know it can be finished soon. You do not have to be hurry, can take everything into consideration and be great. These days, life is full of pressure, why should we put more pressure on ourselves by multitasking? How about slow down and deal with one thing at a time and try to enjoy the life?

内容感觉一般,有些空,第13个理由可以像第2段那样举些具体的例子;
语言方面我建议你找个科班的同学看看,很多用法我没见过,但不知道是否正确;
此外建议有个结尾段。
