History to an individual is as important as family to a child, without it,one will not know where he/she comes and where to go. So, as university students, we should take history courses no matter what field we study in.

From the beginning, not a nation can survive without its history, and no one can live a life without knowing history. Because all we have in today's world have a closed relationship with our history. Image a youth did not know how the president is elected,which is an historical problem of every nation, hardly could he involve in the political life.Also other example,if we did not know The World WarⅡ, which is full of inhuman acts towards Jews, how can we avoid the kind of calamity in our life? So, history provides us the basic picture of human struggles before we were born, with which we can get experience of the past and a better view towards today.

Secondly, though learning history, we can strengthen our faith about life as well as the whole nation. The most obvious example is about the American Dream. Americans have this dream from the country be settled, it strengths though many big events in the history, and finally it becomes a common believe in every individual. The big American Dream is about trust and equality, which set up faith in every American and build solidarity and cooperation in this country as well.

Thirdly, besides the big events in the past, history also tells shinning individuals among human which put forward our society. These individuals can set good examples for students, which simulate them to overcome difficulties and to make their own contributions to human beings. As university students, these examples provide an obscure picture of their own further, helping them find the inner power of themselves. No matter how bad situations they are now in, they can have a bright future through hard working. Like the most famous American president Lincoln, whose experiences encourage my beat friend to be braver in his life, and I do think this is the benefits of history classes to a science student.

All in all, from what I showed above, history classes seems not related to one's study field, but actually, it related to one's life. From taken history classes, students can not only get knowledge about our nation, but also strengthen the beliefs and even more, find their life goals followed by the great individuals.
