Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? In university students should take the history courses no matter what field they study in.

Every country, every nation, even every person has its own past, present and future. Event from our past reflect on our present. However, upon the question, which is better---students should take the history courses or should not take the history courses no matter what field they study in? Different people have different opinions due to their diverse cultural backgrounds. From my personal angle, I am in favor of the opinion that university students should take the history courses no matter what field they study in.

First of all, every one of us is a member of the society, learn history could expand our knowledge and understand well about the development of the whole society. Living without learning about our history is the same as building a house without foundations. What is more, everyone is strongly connected with his past even when he does not comprehend it thoroughly sometimes.

In addition, we can avoid our previous mistakes or to find an easier way to success by learning the history. In this case history is our best teacher. There are numerous instances closely fit the notion, in the world of politics and international relations, it is absolutely imperative to learn from the past. It could be said that the world community learned one great lesson from World War II, that there must not be another world war. In the international arena, one must possess a thorough knowledge of history, in order to understand the current dynamics and relationships among countries. A closer study of their deeper reasons and the measures taken beforehand can prove to be invaluable in finding the right solution today. It can save thousands of lives.

Furthermore, studying history of our own country or region builds up our identity, gives us a feeling of belonging to a certain group of people. Those of us who live only in the present and only for today are like trees without roots so easily ‘fragile’ in a stormy day. Therefore, the most striking conclusion is obvious that university students should take the history courses no matter what field they study in.

To sum up, without doubt, no one should live only for today isolated from the past or without any connections to the future. So taking into account all the factors discussed above, we could safely come to the conclusion that university students should take the history courses no matter what field they study in, it is a good idea for us to increase our knowledge and understand well about the history.

First of all, every one of us is a member of the society, learn history could expand our knowledge and (加个help之类的词吧)understand well about the development of the whole society.
