Given the complexity and difficulty of the challenges we are confronting, in order to drive our society move forward and make our life become better, both practical point of view and idealistic point of view are necessary.

Practical point of view helps us to realize the real world accurately. Only when we had known the existing circumstances, can we make effective methods to deal with the given problems. Chairman Mao said: "Someone who hasn't investigated the practical conditions doesn't have a voice." The basis of any decision we made is the existence. No doctor can give a prescription for a patient before conducting a careful inspection.

On the other hand, over focusing on the reality, we may pessimistic and lack of imagination. Sometimes, the difficulty we confront seems insurmountable; most people are deterred to give up, only the one who holds an idealistic point of view can see the blueprint which encourages him to insist in seeking out the novel measures to overcome this problem. Someone who hold a practical point of view can solve the obstacle based on the existing knowledge or instruments; however, someone who hold a idealistic point of view can make a blueprint also based on the existing circumstances.

In the history, it’s not hard to find important proposals or plans were belittled when they was first put forward because they were seems unachievable. When the computer was first invented in United States, which is our most important instrument in our daily life now, most of the people at that time didn’t think it useful because it is too cumbersome and in low efficiency. If all the researchers thought further research on computer is nonsensical ideas, we may live in different world now!

In our life, we not only need practical views but also idealistic views, when we take an idealistic view, we can see the object, and the practical views is the most important quality that is needed in tackle the certain problem. In a word, idealistic views are the beacon in our life, and practical views are the best instrument to succeed in the challenge.
