In this memorandum the publisher of newsmagazine, Newsbeat, conclude that they should decrease their emphasis on internal news and refrain from such stories on their magazine covers.
The argument is well presented, however the fake of reasoning is also clear.


Firstly, the conclusion is rely on assumption that lots of people select the magazine depend on its front covers. But there is no evidence to prove it. Perhaps many people select the magazine because the attractive covers. However.
there are some reasons would be consider such as the attractive content, the news is in time or not. Without rule out other factor the publisher’s conclusion is unconvincing.
Secondly, the speaker points that they poorest-selling over the past three years were those that featured internal news stories on the front covers. But the speaker did not provide any evidence to prove that poorest-selling is only influenced by the covers. Perhaps those newsmagazine of internal new stories on the front covers had a poor circulation, so that the selling of those magazine is poorer than others.
Thirdly, the author point that the Newsbeat company should decrease the number of cover international stories since the competing company have done that. But the argument doesn't talk about why the competing company does. Perhaps, the cover international stories may not affect their selling. they does so may because that they have other problem. In addition, the author assumes that the situations of the two companies are the same, and the competing one does the right. Obviously, it is unwarranted.
The last but not the least, when it comes to the cost of maintain foreign bureaus to report on international news is increasing, we need to realize that
during this time perhaps there are so many news happen that the cost is increasing. If so the N company
should
increase the covers of international stories and attractive more reader to buy it.



. In sum, the author can not conclusion that
cut down the percent of the international news and refrain it from displaying such stories in the magazine, since the argument suffered from ungrounded evidence, fake reasoning and ignorance of the fact
