Compare and contrast learning by doing to learning by reading. In your opinion, which is better? Use specific examples to support your opinion?$ J# [/
As long as mentioned learning by doing or by reading, it reminds me of a saying: practice makes perfect. Based on this meaning, I prefer to assure that learning by doing will be more benefit for people comparing to by reading. I will discuss more in the following passages.

In the first place, reading is not a direct way to gain knowledge. There are many books of teaching cuisine in bookstores presently. They offer distinct ways of cooks for people, from complicated French food to simple fast food. The colorful pictures and details make every cooking step easily to master. However, more significant is people need to practice in their kitchens instead of reading those steps. A qualified chef must experience long time of cooking to deeper understand every dish’s procedure. Otherwise, he/she could not know the best time to put seasoning. As most people had practiced, no one could have cooked tasty food in his/ her first time. Therefore, doing plays more crucial role in learning, reasoning is that more direct for people to see and feel.

On the other hand, more information and advantages could be brought through doing. Sometimes, reading is quite constricted in providing knowledge. It always tells the necessary parts as the passage is too limited without extended space. For instance, we studied the history of the Great Wall and know what is built for and in which era. But we could not feel how grand the Great Wall is until visited there. It is hard to describe its majesty in the reading passage. Besides that, there are parts of Great Wall already debris and need repairing. It arouses our hearts to protect and make up for it with endeavor. Visiting the Great Wall can better comprehend its history and its situation. That is not we could learn only from reading.

In conclusion, based on those passages, both reading and doing will all assist people in mastering knowledge. But I prefer that doing could make things easier to understand as it more direct to get involved in.
