*13. 许多世界上鲜为人知的语言由于越来越少的人使用正处于消失的边缘。使用这些语言的国
家应该采取措施防止这些语言绝迹。

提纲：（看了板油lucarl的，感触颇多）

开篇说出现象：语言正在消失，这些正在消失的语言需要政府出面来保护。

解释为什么这些语言会消失。
因为这些小语种在使用上范围太窄，国民如果想要和外界交流，只能通过主流语言。久而久之，使用本国语言的人越来越少，而下一代对本国语言的重视程度将更加小，导致语言消亡。

语言的消失时必然的，因为物竞天择。但是我们不能坐视语言消失，因为语言是文化的载体。语言的消失意味着文化的缺失。
有语言就有文化，诗歌，小说，戏剧。都需要语言来做这个载体。

语言的多样性所带来的历史价值
以古埃及象形文字为引，说明即便是鲜为人知的语言，仍然有其不可磨灭的重要历史文化价值。

政府如何去保护语言
政府应该有选择性的保护值得保护的语言。只有政府才能付得起这么一个财政负担和组织工作。

The author states that more and more world's lesser-known languages are dying out. The governments should take actions to protect such languages from becoming extinct, if we need to have a multicultural world.

As we known, the lesser-known languages are becoming extinguished because fewer and fewer people use them. People reject to use their mother tongue due to the phenomenon of globalization. People born in the lesser-known languages' communities need to pick up the widely-spoken languages, such as English, to communicate with others. And after this period, their offspring drop their own native tongue because it seems nothing to their future.

Charles Darwin once said in his famous book called 'The Origin of Species', it is not the strongest of the species that survive, but the one most responsive to change. From his point of view, it seems that every field exist the survival of the fittest. But this truth does not fit in languages area. Because where there is a language, there exists a culture. Every marvelous human culture achievements, such as poetry, novels, opera and some other literary works, are all written by the language we use. Moreover, culture stands for the spirit of nation. It represents the history and the value of the nation. If the language disappears, the culture will fade away as well, and so does the evidence of the existence of a nation. We can't afford the lose of diversity.

Cultural diversity means a lot to us. We can receive masses of the precious experience from the languages which are already used by our ancients. Take the Egypt hieroglyph for instance; these relics render historians rare vivid proof to mysterious ancient Egypt culture. And this language vanish leads to the difficulty to decipher the unknown history. The lesser-known languages do not equal to the less important position compared with the widely-used ones. They are our ancestral heritage leaving us the key to human spirit treasure.

Preventing the extinction of such languages seems to be futile, considering the fact that our world are moving on toward the tendency of globalization, which indicates that no matter our customs,ethos, ways of thinking, even languages are inclined to be homogenized. But we should admit that the lesser-known languages have considerable merits in maintaining their unique traditional cultures and in helping to restore historical invaluable heritages. So the governments in which these languages are spoken should devote their finance into the investigation of its historical and cultural value. The governments should also drop the useless effort to prevent the futile ones, thinking how to store them in the museum.

In sum, only the governments have the adequate finance to protect the disappearing precious languages, while they should have the choices to pick up the valuable ones.
