TOPIC: ARGUMENT56 - Collectors prize the ancient life-size clay statues of human figures made on Kali Island but have long wondered how the Kalinese artists were able to depict bodies with such realistic precision. Since archeologists have recently discovered molds of human heads and hands on Kali, we can now conclude that the ancient Kalinese artists used molds of actual bodies, not sculpting tools and techniques, to create these statues. This discovery explains why Kalinese miniature statues were abstract and entirely different in style: molds could only be used for life-size sculptures. It also explains why few ancient Kalinese sculpting tools have been found. In light of this development, collectors should expect the life-size sculptures to decrease in value and the miniatures to increase in value.

Grounding on the evidences that was recently found on Kali, and void of cues of sculping tools, the author hastiely comes to the conclusion that the molds were used in life-size statues while minuture ones don' t have this molds to apply, so that the miniatures' value tend to increase while the life-size statues' value should decreased.persuasive as it seems, the author vitually features some flaws once submitted to the thotoughly examination.

First of all, the evidence which was found recently is not the proof that they are the tools applied to the creation of life-size clay statues. these hands and heads are just parts of the particular statues, they are possiblely not used as molding tools. and also, the author is weaked in providing evidence that the antient people free from using of sculping tools and techniques.

On the sencond place, the reason why the miniature ones are abstract and entirely different in size also calls for caution consideration. may be these kind of creation also exits some kind of modling tools, but as the merely discernable appearance of those evidence, they are not found yet, or that the material of that mold is easilily to be eroded then leads the fail of gaining it.

viod of ancient Kalinese sculpting tools have been found until recently, it fails to consider that these evidences will not be abtain decades later. on the other hand,. the material of the sculping tools plays a significant role in the process of serching. That is to say,the life-sized molds are make of rocks or bone or other materials which can stand the wash and decompose of any circumstances, while the sculping tools are made of wood or clay which is susceptible to be eroded during the thousands of years.

Moreover, the value of the creation is determined by various factor. Like the age of that work, the meaning of that peice, the completeness of the piece that was preserved and even the number of works founded. All above together determine the value of the work.

In sum, the author should provide more acurate and comprehensive evdence to bolster his argument. Since the recently found evidence cannot illustrate alone the creation process of life-size and miniature statues, and also other aspects of the statues should be taken into consideration to determine the value respectively.
