Whether enterprise should revitalize through new leadership is always a complicated issue for any profession. As refreshing the leadership could bring huge benefit to society, I would prefer that leaders should step down after in power for several years, but the change should not be too frequently.

To begin with, the changing of leadership could give fresh air to the enterprise and avoid corruption and abuse of power. Some leaders, such as Augusto Francis, Hitler, Mussolini, in history are well known for their long dominations without democracy. If the leaders are told that they could be in power as long as they want, the consequence is terrible. They will be no affair of losing power and do whatever they want, such as corruption, defraud, abuse, and so on. Bernard Madoff, the former famous financial, dominating the Madoff Investment Company for over 40 years and finally convicted for defraud billions of dollars. As he is the CEO of the company, no one could know what he does during 40 years. It is to say, if one is given long lasting power, it is possible to lead to terrible results. However, if the time of those in power is limited, they would dare to abuse their power, because if he dares to do, it will be revealed sooner or later.

What's more, the changing of leadership would inspire leaders to give more contribution to the society during his term of office. If one achieves extraordinary success, he or she could continue to be in power for several years. Otherwise, he or she would lose power and be replaced by others. For example, even if Obama has successfully held the post of president of America, he is still working diligently because the success in election is a beginning rather than an end. The time in power is limited, which means the time he could make contribution is limited. If he make it successfully, he will be remembered by the whole world forever, just like Lincoln, Washington, Rossford, and some other great presidents in history, and even have chance to be elected for the next presidential period.

And, the changing of leadership would also inspire his followers and other young men who have the dreams to be a leader, because the young men still have chance to be leaders if they could finish their job and make extraordinary achievements. When they have the aims and the chances to reach the goals, their motility would be inspired and work even more hardly.

At the same time, the leadership should not be changed to frequently for the reason that the leader who is in power needs an adaptive period in which he may have some flaws because of lacking experience. Some goals are only could have effects after a long time such as the administration of pollution, the promotion of local citizens' health levels, and so on. The contribution of a leader could not be judged during only a short period.

To sum up, the leadership of any enterprise should be changed, or be determined by a democratic election after several years, but the period should not be too short or too long. In this way, the motility of both leaders and followers could be inspired and the contribution of the leader could be shown.
