EE求定位，谢谢点拨

本科是天津大学/南开大学的光电子专业，学分绩大约83。考了gre，520+800+4。
现在在加拿大University of Ottawa读硕，EE，再开学研二。课程还差一门没修完，目前gpa3.6。在实验室一直做的surface-plasmon polariton，到现在为止没出过paper。
应该是明年8月底毕业，想接着申美国的phd，得要offer才能去，请大伙帮忙定位我好有个参考，谢谢了。

Research experience is your biggest hurdle. Try to use your projects (whatever funded projects or course projects) to attract professor's attentions if you don't have any papers published before your application.
Actually, I don't think optical-related direction is optimistic in the current job market in U.S. Think carefully before applying.
