"Seven years ago, homeowners in nearby Brookville community adopted a set of restrictions on how the community's yards should be landscaped and what colors the exteriors of homes should be painted. Since then, average property values have tripled in Brookville. In order to raise property values in Deerhaven Acres, we should adopt our own set of restrictions on landscaping and housepainting."

The arguer advocate the adoption of restrictions on landscaping and housepainting in Deerhaven Acres merely according to the success of demanding measures taken in Brookville community. However, the arguer failed to take into considerations of other alternatives that may influence the final results, as discussed below.

Firstly, obedience of the restrictions on landscaping and housepainting may not be the sole factor contributing to the promotion of average property values in Brookville community. Admittedly, refined landscaping could bring about green and orders for the community, as well as manifestation of good taste of the community members. Besides, colourful housepainting would make the owners and visitors feel comfortable, cozy and at home once they are set in the community. Nevertheless, other factors such as the security guard, management of high qualities and friendliness of residents could also have vital impact on the enhancement of average property value in Brookville community. Thus, regarding other aspects, we could not easily define the gardening and housepainting as the mere reasons of good results.
Furthermore, considering the demography and other variability across the span of seven years, no one could ensure that the taste or values of people towards good community would remain the same. As we all know, seven years are a long period, in which unexpected events may occur, neighborhood may transfer out and in, and technologies would advance, bringing about brand new values , likes and lifestyles to the members of community. Therefore, the definition of the favorite kind of community may differ from one perspective to another after this duration, perhaps at last not only good gardening and housepaintings included.

Even assuming the execution of restrictions really played a dominating role in the good result in Brookville community, we have to take into account the distinguished conditions in Deerhaven Acres when it’s about to implements the restrictions. We could assume that the safety and management in Brookville community is well guaranteed while that in Deerhaven Acres not. Regarding this, we should consider how to safeguard the district and establish good managing mechanism of the community firstly instead of other beautifying work, otherwise the landscaping and housepainting would not effect perfectly in attracting increasing number of people.

In conclusion, I concede the importance of the landscaping and housepaiting, but they are not the only attribution of success concluded. In the construction of a community, we need to take all factors into consideration and then make a wise decision in the good balance of them. Only thus would the homeowners in Deerhaven Acres have their satisfing results under a considerable and overall resolution.
