The speaker asserts that when people are making decisions, there is always more than one choice we can choose from. I concede that people are largely enabled to have more choices. Otherwise, in my point of view there’s still several situations we have no extra options to choose from rather than accept it.


Admittedly, with the rapid economical and social development, we have more options to choose from in all aspects of life. The absence of choice is no longer a annoying problems. If we step into a supermarket for milk, we can easily find skim milk, ordinary milk and sugar-free milk to pick from. When looking for a restaurant for lunch, we can find even find Mexican food, Japanese food and even Thai food in a street in Shanghai. Recently, the Chinese high school graduates even have the opportunity to enroll the American famous universities rather than taking National University Entrance Exam as their parents did 20 years ago. Thus, life has become more convenient, colorful and flexible as more choices are provided to us.

In most cases, we have more the one option to choose from, however, we can not neglect many exceptions when we have no choice to choose from or even we are facing many options, we are unwilling to choose the others because some reasons.

First of all, we have no choice when facing death and leaves. No matter how deeply we love those people, once they leave, the only choice we have is to accept the truth that they no longer being with us. Many people’s lives were deprived in the September 11th attacks; people preyed but they would never come back. There’s no other choice for people but accepting the reality and harboring the sorrows. After the university graduation, we will never have lectures with classmates anymore. When those close friends leave away from us to other cities or foreign countries, we have no choice but to accept goodbyes and wish them good luck.

Secondly, we are too fragile to fight against the natural disasters. Even though with the development of technology we try best to predict the catastrophes, we still cannot prevent the calamities. Like the earthquake erupted in Sichuan province of China 2008, countless people died and many towns have been destroyed. We have no choice but to accept. In the year 2006, when tsunami attack Bali and crushed those resorts and hotels into pieces, people were desperate and sad but have no choice rather than to accept.

Moreover, we are also unable to choose our parents and family status. Some are born to a farmer’s family, some are born to royal family, and some like Paris Hilton or Dew Baltimore are born to wealthy and decent family with long history. No matter we are satisfied with our parents or not, we still have no choice.

And there are also a lot of situations when we are provided many other choices but we cannot pick it out due to our personal interests or considerations. Under this circumstance, we will still refer it as lacking extra options. Such like looking for a job, people are always complaining that it is difficult to find a job even they have received many offers from those companies they are not interested in.

In sum, it is true that we are more likely able to make decisions among many choices. However, it is too hasty to draw the conclusion that the absence of choice is a rare circumstance. There are still many things we have no choice but to accept.

开头给论点，结尾呼应。简洁明了~~~文章结构很清楚。我想了想从队长的思路来看，再给出两个我自己的看法：1.随着全球化的发展，在各个方面都趋于一致，导致选择越来越少。比如在文化方面，西方国家文化的侵入。例子：有时候在电影院，所有放映的电影都是好莱坞大片，国产电影越来越少。2.选择的多少也分国家，在一些发达国家，你可以选择每天的吃不同的饭菜。但是在一些非洲国家，他们有吃的就很不错了，根本没有选择。
随便谈谈我的看法，我还没写这篇文章呢。。。最近有点偷懒了，一起加油啦~~~
