When we talk about the social development, great advancements are frequently mentioned such as the introduction of machines in various fields, automobile and even new energy. All these are connected with the results from scholars and researchers. Some people are of view that scholars and researchers should not care about their results whether they contribute to the large society or not but should pay more attention to their interests. In my opinion, this view is reasonable on certain degree. Though the main aims of researches and studies are to offer technical support and convenience or enjoyment to the public, interests of scholars and researchers also play an important role to boost the social advancement in future.

Most of us live in the economic era, and we have the sense that every research should serve society. This is the case which always happens in some companies. Once money is given to support some research, scholars and researchers should offer useful results to bring customers of companies some convenience. While some scholars and researchers engage in some engineering projects which help the society to solve some immediate problems, other scholars and researchers take interested in and dedicate to fundamental researches, which may bring social innovation in future.

To some extent, scholars and researchers should cherish their interests and have the intention of devoting themselves to the pursuit of truth and beauty, even if some theories or art works cannot be understood or accepted by contemporary people, even seemingly useless. It is acceptable that some basic researches cannot bring benefits to society in a short time, such as archaeology and deep space exploration. But it does not mean they are less important and never benefit human. Taking deep space exploration for example, maybe human cannot know what is the exact composition of the out space and have few chances to visit some planets. Even we cannot reach the Mars, the most nearest planet from Earth. But scientists claim that there are abundant hydrogen resources on Mars and it is possible to use these resources as the next generation energy and well solve energy shortage on Earth. Hence, this sort of researches should be done though they seem unimaginable and unusual. Fortunately, a lot of scholars and researchers have considerable interests in these researches and have been doing so.

Furthermore, scholars and researchers should now and then introduce their research results and unusual interests in front of common people to enrich the knowledge of the public. If all scientists only care about what the origin of universe and human, or the sort of these researches, and ignore the broadcast of knowledge, then very few people can understand their researches. Instead, most people cannot realize the importance of such researches. What is more, with the past of time, it is reasonable that people will not support the like of these researches. Therefore, when a research is done and fails to boost the development of society in a time, the scholars and researchers have the responsibility to show what they are doing and arouse the awareness of large society to care about the long term meaning of their researches. To do this, the public can learn the common knowledge of different fields though they may have some puzzles. After accumulation of this knowledge, people will become much smarter and have the ability to deal with complicated information orderly. In this sense, scholars and researchers can change their idiosyncratic interests into a contribution to the large society.

In the final of the analysis, scholars and researchers in fact bring a lot of change to our life and make a significant contribution to large society. Though there are times when scholars and researchers fail to bring such contribution in a short time, it does not effect the high expectation from larger society for them. Therefore, interests to some extent encourage scholars and researchers to go further and make preparation for the future development. They should cherish the hope and their interests.

In my opinion, this view is reasonable on certain degree(这个用法我第一次看到，不过我查了，是对的，学习一下). Though the main aims of researches and studies are to offer technical support and convenience or enjoyment to the public, interests of scholars and researchers also play an important role to boost（impel是不是好一点，我晚上回家看看m-w看看boost是不是这么用啊然后来告诉你） the social advancement in future.

In the final of the analysis, scholars and researchers in fact bring a lot of change to our life and make a significant contribution to large society. Though there are times when scholars and researchers fail to bring such contribution in a short time, it does not effect the high expectation from larger society for them. Therefore, interests to some extent encourage scholars and researchers to go further and make preparation for the future development. They should cherish the hope and their interests.（结尾很顺。赞。）
