The opinions of this issue mainly are separated into two camps: Some people would advocate that imitation helps improve experience and thus it is reasonable to learn according to role models; Others would arguer that imitation cast negative impact on the fulfilling of imagination and therefore people need to create new way by themselves. However, in my opinion, there are merits in both sides, we should pay attention to both of them.

First, role models give us suitable indications about how to deal with daily life problems and guide us to achieve our goals. It is true that children are taught by their parents through the means of imitating the behaviors and the way of talking of adults. Only in this way, young people can grow up into informed person with the accumulation of other people's experience. Besides, the Carnegie's success philosophy that illustrates my opinion involves the digestion of the experiences of famous persons that giving a good opportunity for ordinary people to get close to the best way to achievement. The guidance from Carnegie provides chance for young people to know how to deal with their difficulties and lift spirit and then continue life. There is nowhere more true than on the assertion that role models sever to encourage people, inform people and guide people how to make a success.

On the other hand, it cannot be denied that creation always comes from the independent thinking rather than just imitation. Without exception, the great accomplishments of master piece in the scientific realm are all originated from the creative ability of those excellent scientists, scholars, philosophers and inventors. Give the example about Edison, we know that he had owned thousands of patents in his life that on one could compared with his creative ability in the aspect of creating inventions. His endeavors and creative ability makes him the most successful inventor in the history. All of these achievements are due to his independent thinking rather than imitation. From this angle, it is necessary for us to cultivate the creative ability instead of merely following role models.

However, for me, both creation and imitation are important to us when making choices. Only creative ability is not enough to ensure people to accomplish his goal. Learning experience and take into the results of previous great men are necessary as well. When we have learned their ideas and translate into the ability of us, our thinking may become more comprehensive and profound. Moreover, sometimes great success needs the help to break the old traditional thinking of previous people. Aristotle- once said "Plato is dear to me, but my dearer still is truth." This saying is said to point out that people should not just following the thinking of those great thinking but create a new way of ourselves.

In sum, we have to concede that the success needs both imitation and experience and creation as well.
