There is no consensus of the issue of technology, which usually referring to inspirations and creations of human beings over centuries, although the issue has been discussed by people for a long time. Actually, in my eyes, before coming to the conclusions whether technology is beneficial or not, as the speaker claims, it is dispensable that making a concise definition of technology, which represents not only the advancement of instruments also the individual power will towards confrontation in front of us. Furthermore, considering the complexity of technology itself, any extreme assertion may be unfair. To present it, let me illustrate it in details.

In the beginning, it is necessary to make sure that a set of criteria has to be established before judging an entity, thus, to evaluate diverse aspects of technology require a legitimate set of criteria, which is objective for judging. And in fact, in my view, well understanding the intention, process and result of technology can aid for judging itself. When it comes to the intention issues, it is definite that the birth of technology is surely due to the will that technology can make human lives more comfortable and there can be more leisure time for us to enjoy various aspects of individual lives. In other words, technology is for people, regardless of the process and the occurrence. For supporting instances, the invention of computers in 1940s, is because the electronic machine can help researchers with high efficiency while calculating. And the birth of motorcars is also supposed to lessen the time which is taken to cover a long distance.  In sum, technology is for higher quality of human life.

Besides the intention of technology, its whole process can completely reflect the most noble and glorious part of human beings, which is the endeavoring mind, rooted in the heart of individuals. The endeavor soul, fundamentally something spiritual, is the intuition of all human beings, such as the impulse of running faster, soaring higher and achieving further, etc, which means the potential power of humans, making the whole society advance continuously instead of staying stationary.

Admittedly, technology do create some problems, which may cause some negative impact to the society, however, the fact should be recognized objectively. In one hand, the reason of the problems emerging has to be scrutinized carefully to realize that what kind of results the problems can make. In fact, ideal perfect things are not existent regarding the practical conditions of the society. It is unreasonable to totally deny the positive facet of technology simply because some problems it cased. In another, comparing between the advantages and disadvantages of technology, the former is still so obvious that exaggerating its negative influence.

In summary, we can safely draw the conclusion that it is unreasonable to state that technology may threaten or damage the quality of human life without taking into account of every aspects of technology as the speaker asserts. And it is of significance, taking advantage of technology to improve the quality of human life.
