找了半天资料，想了半天，还是写了这么点，还是因为对practical view，pragmatic behavior 和idealistic view理解不够, 希望高手指点！！！洗耳恭听。

I admit that sometimes taking a practical view and pragmatic behavior often leads us to success, like in taking an exam, or in market management. However, we should not ignore idealistic views, which play a very important role in developing human ideals and inspire innovations, especially in science. And for scholars, we always need idealism but not over idealism.

First of all, we should admit that to be practical is necessary when we face difficulties. Brave to meet difficulties, we need clarify the true, and take pragmatic behaviors, rather than simply hope or wish god to help us and resolve the problems. For example, as students, we often take exams. Many students dislike it very much, even be fearful of it. Some just wish the questions in the exam to be very easy, and some hope copy others in the exam. But truth tells us that those actions always bring bad effect. On the contrary, students who are very practical reviewing the content of the subject, and taking good preparation of the exam, always have good results. Additionally, in market management, to take a pragmatic way, in most conditions, is always the best way in bringing benefit. Having fully investigated the market, and systematic analysis of the situation, then taking most pragmatic decision-making, often brings much profit to a company. From this view, we can easily see how important to be practical in many conditions.

Sometimes we need not only pragmatic behaviors, but also idealistic views that may be even more important in some fields. In science, idealistic views have contributed to many innovations and play a very important role. As we know, a good example is perpetual machine. Although it is not successful, but the ideal of it brings many ways for scientists in nowadays to create new machines which consume less energy and create more power to fit the situations of threatens to exhaust all known sources of energy in the foreseeable future. Those innovations should contribute to the ideal from perpetual machine. Another good example is principle of relativity. Principle of relativity is only an ideal, created by Albert Einstein, but it has explained many enigmatic and developed new theories, one of which is Big Bang. Having realized those contributes of idealistic view, nobody can ignore its importance.

However, over idealism without any practical behavior may lead a person to failure, or even compel a society to perdition. Especially for youths, over idealism is very common and often comes out bad effect to them. Many of them like to dream that they would like to be successful persons when they grow up but without any effort to make their effort to come true. They do not realize how important practical behavior is and only dream will get nothing. When life goes further and further away from their dream, they become depressed, frustrated all the time and lose confidence in any thing. Then most of them go to failure in dong everything. Some even choose suicide. So we should reject over idealism, and lie in reality all the time.

To sum up, taking practical behaviors when we meet problems, such as taking an exam, making a decision, etc, will certainly be a wise choice. However, it does not let us to be always practical without any idealism. Great theories, and wonderful innovations tell us idealism will also a good choice in some cases.
