研究领域要取得重大进展,都需要外领域者的知识和经验。

Outline:

1、基本赞同,全球化发展使人类面临空前的大量的问题,这些问题既广泛又专业,所以越来越少的领域可以独立发展。
2、计算机是高新技术,也是交叉学科的代表;它需要数学,物理电路,艺术设计,材料科学等等合力推进发展。
3、数学被认为是完整,自律性很强的学科,但是它同样需要外界的经验和知识来对它提出挑战性的问题,它通过数学家的不断努力来取得进步。
4、所以知识的交叉综合很重要,科学家要有开放的思想,才能取得重大的发展。


As never before our history, human being is facing such a large number of problems extensively as well as professionally. Globalization is reshaping the way that either the problems’ generating or the resolve methods’ researching is done. In this case, without outsiders’ knowledge and experience, less and less fields could make notable improvement. Two examples that aptly illustrate this point involve the fields of computer and mathematics.

Computer science is a representation of the interdisciplines, and its development is always based on sorts of subjects, like Mathematic, Physical Electric Circuit, Art Design, Material Science and even every domain. Either its Binary system or Algorithms and Data Structure have absorbing the achievements of mathematics never be interrupted, and Mathematics contributes to the Computer Science much like a strong skeleton. Addition of those programmers are unceasing effort on explorations of their programs, computer is bringing us so many dramatic changes of our daily life. For instance, Internet, Multimedia and Computer Graphics are extraordinary gifts it gives us. In addition, on contrary of the software, its hardware domain is also involves various outside knowledge. Back to the latter period of the last century, from as big as a house to the same as a note book, computer’s size reformation links to these appearance of semiconductor, transistor, and other new materials, what entirely give due credit to the development of Material Science and Physical Electric Circuit. Obviously, it is the introducing of the knowledge and experience of other fields that promotes prosperity and development of a certain subject.

Nevertheless, as many people think of, there is a significant difference between the fundamental fields and the high-tech domains, for the former is believed relatively independent and needs much less outsiders’ experience to enhance their knowledges than the most latter. But it is not true, for they are failing to consider deeply thought about their situations. As for mathematics, which one research subject is used to be thought as the most completely and the best self-discipline, is not expect directly involve other fields’ assistance. However, often it will interrupt other fields and give them useful help to resolve their puzzles and problems. By this way, some hidden problems never awareness by mathematicians before will be found with surprise and excitement. And then, mathematics turn back to itself, these new problems, indeed, should be answered by those intelligent mathematicians finally.

Therefore, being a modern scientist, the one should open his or her mind broadly, in order to embrace information, experience and knowledge from various fields. Under this open mind, plenty of inspirations, creations, new discoveries will well up, and new research fields will be established, it just like a spring of energy, and could being a vital function of the development of science and improvement of our society.

To the end, no field of study could advance significantly absolute set aside knowledge and experience from other fields of study. After all, both the fundamental domains and the high-tech ones need to interact to give hand to each other, in despite of whatever ways they selected as to find or to resolve new problems.
