"Many Chinese people were hurt when the republic of Korea's application to list Dragon Boat Festival as its own heritage was accepted by UNESCO in 2005" said by a folk culture professor in NANJING university. Strong emotion stimulated by this affair put the world on the notice that how important a typical and distinct ceremony means to a nation and its people.
I could not agree more with the claim that rituals and ceremonies could preserve tribes or groups' distinct heritage, which would strengthen their self conscious ,however, once the assertion expands to that” without rituals and ceremonies, societies and groups people would have a diminished sense of who they are" it loses my supports.
Admittedly , while rituals and ceremonies usually are a outward display of a culture ,the important role it plays in preserving identities is widely accepted by people , as a comparison , Chinese people would enjoy Spring festival while Americans share their holidays of Marry Christmas day , Chinese people would play Dragon boats on Dragon boats festival while Americans would eat Turkey on Thanks Giving Day ,Chinese people would eat TANG YUAN- a special food which contains  sweet cookies- on Lantern Festival while Americans usually hold parties on Easter  festival , it goes without saying that all these ceremonies and rituals are the representation of according nations.
Nevertheless, if people deduce that ceremonies and rituals are the only way different nations and tribes could keep their characteristics, how could we explain that usually the identification of source of music, derivation of a dress, or style of food would also be easy? When we buy a small but diaphanous rice ball with a seller wearing kimono under a oiled paper umbrella which could imply its Japan style  , surely we gain totally different feeling when eat fast-food in KFC located in a prosperous city . In short, people could identify the nations or groups by their wearing , life style , and music too.
Nor are ceremonies and Rituals unnecessary to preserve own identity ,International people, referring to those who born and accepted education in China , and found a work in American , in this circumstance, if he want to marry a woman in the USA, surely he has to obey the rule of marriage there, wearing standard Western-style suits , walking to a large church on a red carpet , receiving the blesses of the Father ,which looks like a typical westerner , however ,all these occurring could imply no shaking of identity but rather just a obligation in a strange place ,which means he would still require for a vacation to enjoy his Spring festival home with his parents.
So in conclusion, writer is a little presumptuous to assert the correlation between tribes and nations’ self-sense and ritual and ceremonies, and from above analysis, ceremonies and rituals sometimes could not be the only approach to affirm one's identity and moreover, even lose its reference sense in some situations.

I could not agree more with the claim（原题没有什么claim） that rituals and ceremonies could preserve tribes or groups' distinct heritage, which would strengthen their self conscious ,（这里应该是句号了）however, once the assertion expands to that”（这里缺东西，degree什么的） without rituals and ceremonies, societies and groups people would have a diminished sense of who they are" it loses my supports.(这是什么意思？，还有那半个引号)
