Should tourism soon become obsolete in the world? The speaker claims so for the reason that by connecting with television and worldwide computer, people can now become familiar with a great many places that they have never visited. I concede that the television and worldwide computer connections are convenient to tourism. However, in my opinion, I disagree with the speaker's claim for some below reasons.

Admittedly, it is through television and worldwide computer that people can conveniently enjoy the different sceneries in all over the world. In the past time, lacking vehicles, time and money, it is impossible for people to travel some interest of places. But now according to the appearance of the television and worldwide computer, the dream of traveling in home has become true. For example, in a vocation, a friend of mine in my university by using the Internet has seen many interest of places which he eagerly want to visit such as the Pyramids of Egypt, the Great Wall, Hawill beautiful scenery and the Amazon rain forestry. Without the help of internet, it is impossible for him to travel these places in a shortly time. What is more, the wonder travel is so cheap that only cost him a small part of money which is use to pay the fee of electric charge.

However, when it comes to the true value of tourism, we cannot deny the importance of traveling personally on the scenery. It is true that a difference between personal traveling and the television and worldwide computer traveling. For instance, when traveling a place, it is more important for us to taste the process of traveling which present some interesting sensory experience, seeing, hearing, touching and smelling than only to sit in front a television and worldwide computer to appreciate pictures. By communicating with local people, travelers are able to learn the local customs and what local people thought. By tasting the special local food and drink, travelers are able to have a deep recognition to the place. Through traveling, people learn something different from the picture they saw in the television and worldwide computer.

First but not least, on the contrary of the speaker's claim, no doubt did the television and worldwide computer advanced the tourism. The television and worldwide computer help people in advance learn the situation of interest of places which they want to travel and can make a team to travel. With the help of internet ,a friend of my sufficiently know how to travel to the Great Wall and form a team together with other people who also want to travel Great Wall. In addition, by using the internet, they reserved the appropriate hotel for dwelling.

In sum, without the help of television and worldwide computer, it is inconvenient for people to travel many interest of places. Without the personal traveling, it is also impossible for people to appreciate the true value of tourism. If a person wants to have a successful traveling, he should need both traveling through television and worldwide computer and personal traveling.
