I the extended family (grandparents, cousins, aunts and uncles) is less important than it was , 大家庭好还是小家庭?（185经典题，周六作业）


When it comes to the issue that whether it is good to live in an extended family or a small one, the view differs from person to person. Some assert that live as the old days like living with all families will be more happy while others hold the opposite opinion. Personally, i prefer to live in a small family and my reasons are listed as follows.

First of all, living in a small family will save a bundle of energy. It is easy to understand that people growing up today seem more independent and everyone has his or her own goal to chieve. To realize the dream, they need to spend a great deal of time and energy to devote to it. Take my parents' experience, they used to live with my grandparents before i was born. During that period of time, they spent more time to deal with the gap betweent two generations than work. In fact, they are just at the begginning of career, but the unnecessary energy they waste in quarrelling with my grandparents on details always made them getting frustrated, in turn effected their performances in work. As a result, they chose to moved out to live in a two-families life and visit my grandparents one in a while.

Another reason for my preference is that it is more convenient if we live in a small family. As we know, it will takes us a mount of time to go to work everyday, especially in a big city. Homes are always far from the working place since the rent for housing are getting so expensive that we must live far away from the central area. Therefore if we choose the house depending on each own requirement, it will be of convienience and in case of wasting time on the way if we live together with all the families.It is very clear that live in a smallle family is a reason choice.

It is ture that live in a extended familiy has it own merits. For example, a person's childhood must be more funny than living alone. The children can play together, listen to the grandparents to tell some folk stories, in others words, they can avoid to experience the lonely feeling which is harmful to the children's mental health.

However, considering all the aspects i discussed above, i believe living in a small family outweighs in an extended one. As long as the parents pay more attention to their children in terms of varies ways,such as spending more time to communicate, holding family parties often, the negetive effect of loneness will be greatly alleviated.

Personally, i prefer to live in a small family and my reasons are listed as follows.

First of all, living in a small family will save a bundle of energy. It is easy to understand that people growing up today seem more independent and everyone has his or her own goal to chieve. To realize the dream, they need to spend a great deal of time and energy to devote to it(直接on it或者把depend on改成devote to). Take my parents' experience(for example), they used to live with my grandparents before i was born. During that period of time, they spent more time to deal with(on dealing with) the gap betweent two generations than work. In fact, they are just at the begginning of career, but the unnecessary energy they waste in quarrelling with my grandparents on details always made them getting frustrated, in turn effected their performances in work(病句,主语unnecessary enery出问题~~~这样可能更好点:but they waste a tremendous amount of unnecessary in quarreling with my grandparents,which made them get frustrated and exhausted, so their performance in work,inevitably, gets effectef.)As a result, they chose to(have to) moved out (of the big family)to live in a two-families life(delete没必要,句子不够精炼)  and visit my grandparents one in a while(once in a while)
