I fundamentally agree with the speaker on the point that cross-disciplines could help science and technology advance significantly. When outsiders bring their knowledge and experience to another field of study, it could not only make bring this study convenience, but also it could help the researchers find some new ideas. In the following discussion, I would like to present my point of view.

First of all, the development of some areas could create powerful tools which could bring a more convenient and efficient manner to other areas. Consider computer which is a revolutionary invention in the past several hundred years. The development of computer not only changes normal people's lives, but also it benefits nearly all the other disciplines. The mathematicians could use them to deal with a large amount of data which would cost the mathematicians lots of time in the past. A talent mathematician in China Chen jinrun who once studied Goldbach's conjecture could finished some of his work just because he has used too much time in those simple but numerous calculation. Thus the convenient research tools are sometimes a necessity for great research and nobody could imagine there are no computers in current researches and studies.

Secondly, some knowledge and experience from outsiders could help the scientists find some new ways and new methods they have never noticed or understood, thus can help them make a more significant achievement. Because other areas could place a revelatory influence on a certain area and help scientist ponder from other angles. The introduction of ecology to the economic area could bring about some new thinking to the economists. It could help them think that economy is not only a subject which studies the behaviors of human being, but also it should refer to a wider relevancy just like the situation in ecological environment. Thus new areas could always bring people new ideas.

Last but least, though the cross between disciplines is very few in the past, it would be more and more popular and common with the development of the science and technology. When scientists in a certain area could not make a further progress, they would probably learn some knowledge from other areas in attempt to find some inspirations. When Einstein countered some difficulties to his theory of relatives, a mathematician Riemann at that time had just study a brand-new geometry theory called Riemannian geometry which is totally independent from the system of Euclid Geometry. When Einstein heard that Riemannian geometry could do help to his theory, he began to study Riemannian geometry. After 7 years' study, he learned the essence of Riemann's theory and developed his theory of relatives with the help of it. Thus modern science is progressing at an unimaginable speed and every discipline would meet other disciplines when it develops to a certain level.

To sum up, due to the above mentioned reasons, which sometimes to intertwine as an organic whole and thus become more persuasive than any one of them, we may comfortably arrive at the conclusion that knowledge and experience from outsiders are crucial to a certain discipline and this trend would be more and more obvious in the future.
