4. No field of study can advance significantly unless outsiders bring their knowledge and experience to that field of study.
Whether no fields of study can advance significantly unless outsiders bring their knowledge and expeirnece to that field of study? My answer is that, even though the conclusion the author maintains is a little extreme, we, in a great extent, should recognize that the appearance of outsiders with their knowledge and experience of any field of study de facto advance another field significantly. As a matter of fact, the development of interdiscipline increasingly promote the advancement and progress of science in recent several centuries.
First of all, let us to see the field of economics. In ancient times, economics is simply to account for the phenomenona during the circulation of the goods and money, say, funds wwill flow into where funds is more urgent or product materials would be optimized when it is mixed with more technology. Nevertheless, such study could not take into account variables which, as a whole, affect the circulation of the funds and materials. Nowadays, with the mathematics, especially any mathematicians major in the advanced mathematics, economics start to make any in-dep study about economy at one region, even the global world as well as all of the world . Through evaluating different functions of different economic components in different time and different places, such research results could be more effective and available for us, say factory owners, retailers, officials of economy in government, to arrange our production and circulation. The development and progress of current economy and advancement of commercial and merchandise witness the contribution arising from economy and advanced mathematics.
Secondly, let us to see the exploration of the outspace. In NASA, there are a variety of scientists, say, physicists, chemists, meteorologists mathematicians and so on, all of whom together promote the advance of the space exploration. Without physicists, spacemen do not know how to ride in the space, even to eat and to pee; without chemists, the space shuttle and rockets would not have enough momentom to sent the spacemen into the space; without meteorologists, we can not forecast and select the best weather to launch the rockets, all of which is to say that the knowledge and experiences from diverse fields of study all together help the development of aeronautics.
Even in the fields of music, mordern electrics push the music composer and act into a brand-new frontier. With the help of keyboards, we could easy mimic different tones, like drums, guitars, violin, which is benefical for a musician to compose any mordern songs and ballads. Meanwhile, the development of recording technology also plays a significant role in the development the music. For example, the coming of CD or DVD, such electric recorders make musician more convenient to search for any other works of any other composers and musicians.
In summary, from what I have discussed above, we can conclude that the advantage of the accumulation of knowledge and experience, even any methods have accelerated the development of mordern science and technology will be more and more manifest. Meanwhile, the interdiscipline study and collaboration would be increasingly prevailing and play an important role in the study or any fields.
