Issue17 There are two types of laws: just and unjust. Every individual in a society has a responsibility to obey just laws and, even more importantly, to disobey and resist unjust laws.

The speaker asserts that as two types of laws exist in the society, every individual should obey just laws while disobey and resist unjust laws. As far as I am concerned, it is wise to say that the law system is not perfect, however, it is absurd to state that an individual should disobey and resist unjust laws, as discussed below.

In the first place, it should be admitted that the law system is not perfect because crimes in the society becomes more and more complex. Our government, after all, can not predict the new crime before it happens, and then there are indeed some just or unjust laws. To illustrate this point of view clearly, we can see such a case that two or three years ago, some one register a popular brand before the initial owner who did not recognize the importance of register of the brand, and then ask for a large number of money. It is obvious unjust to the initial owner of the brand, however, this is the rules of the laws. Before the case, no one can predict it. Consequently, as the crimes are too complex in the society to the law system to keep pase with, and then there are just and unjust laws.

However, even if there are some unjust laws in the society, can we disobey the so-called unjust laws? I do not think so. To begin with, in the notion of just and unjust lies my first point of contention with the speaker. Query who has the most fair judgment of the laws. After all, every one has diversity opinion and has his or hers own criteria to judge the laws. For instance, the terr may consider their behavior is just to require reasonable authority of their own or their organization, so it is just for them to jeopardize the government by some activities. However, their crimes make the society turbulent and even cause economic depression of a nation, which most people would consider them as severe prisoners. If thought from the terrorist's attitude, the law which punish the terrorist is unjust. Yet, it is obvious a absurd conclusion. In short, as every one has distinguished attitude, so-called just and unjust is difficult to judge.

Furthermore, disobey the so-called unjust laws may lead harm to the whole society. It is obvious the just law should be obeyed, as the speaker asserts. For instance, as the laws rules that the red light means stop while the green one means go, and everyone obey it result in the order of traffic. However, some so-called unjust laws are also should be obeyed. Given that the laws which have passed a severe progress from be set to be passed, they are accepted by most people of the society. In fact, they are more equal than someone considered. Also take the brand law for example, if the initial owner disobey the brand law and continue to use the brand, query whether the other brands who have been registered can be use by other companies. If so, the brand law is of little validity and the protection of brand is also leading to death. In addition, it does not mean that an individual should tolerance the unjust, as they can advice the government to ameliorate it and make our law system more and more perfect. In other words, whether a law is just or unjust due to our own point of view, we must obey it.

To sum up, due to the reasons mentioned above, we may safely draw the conclusion that we should obey the laws even if we think it is unjust. As a member of the society, an individual can advice the government to ameliorate it.
