The speaker asserts that in order to thrive the major cities, government should increase financial support just because it is mainly the region of cultural traditions and maintained in these cities. In my views, I agree with the issue that the major cities play a vital role in the process of culture development, however, with unduly emphasis on cities, it will do harm to the development of village and bring out unbalanced relationship between cities and countries.

To begin with, nobody cannot deny that cities contribute the cultural advancement to human society, which is primarily preserved and generated to cities. Without the cities' effect, a nation's cultural traditions cannot maintain to this day and we cannot learn the prominent cultural all over the world. For example, London is famous on Big Ben and triumphal arch in Paris embodies the France history culture, all these relics were preserved, which represent these cities even the whole nation's symbol. Without Big Ben in London or triumphal arch in Paris, people will learn little about certain culture about the nation. What' more, if foreign friends want to learn Chinese culture, Peking is no doubt the preferable city in China, which includes many historic sites and comprehensive traditional knowledge charactering the Chinese traditional culture. In a word, it is cities but other places that represent the whole nation's cultural traditions.

What' more, government' financial support exerts important effects on not only the existence but also development of traditional culture. As the tradition that is sometimes disharmonious to the modern society, some culture is easy to extinct if they cannot acquire enough regard. Take Chinese tradition culture opera for example, it bogged down in a stagnant position before liberation just in that there was no enough emphasis on it, while after the People's Republic of China was founded, the opera received emphasis again and reach a prosperous status this day. Another illustrating example involves that tradition Chinese Medicine which gained little care in the past almost near to die out and to this day, it has been developed greatly in the modern society because the government lend so large financial support and excellent policy on it. Consequently, without the government's value, it is hard to live for the tradition culture, let alone prosperous.

Yet, unduly emphasis on cities especially the financial support may bring out unbalanced relationship between cities and countries, which is harmful to the stability of the society. It is well known that the whole society's development includes both cities and countries. Only to care for the cities' construction and little attention to the counties, the whole nation's development will be dragged to an extreme position, which bring out the social problems. Furthermore, many custom and habit such as Spring festival that may reflect the nation's culture remain well in the country, which needs same financial support from the government. Simply put, when caring for the cities, the country's development will not be neglected.

In sum up, government should increase financial support to cities after all cultural traditions are mainly preserved and generated in these major cities, however unduly emphasis on the cities, it is no doubt to influence the countries, which lead to the unbalanced development to the society.
