Admittedly, laws can be divided into two kinds like the author asserts. As to me this is because that laws are made by people who may not be perfect and so dose the laws. Therefore, here comes to the question that what should we do to  facing the just and unjust laws? Objectively speaking, to disobey unjust law should be more important than obeying just laws.

For the facet of obeying just laws, it is essential for us to do it because just laws are not good to us individuals but also to the whole society. Just laws can ensure that we live in a  fair and safe community. Everyone should pay for their obtaining from others' hard work including the leaders and normal individuals. The tax has this function that call for people's payment to balance the country's offering and receiving, even though most of the people dislike it. But for this kind of rules there will be disorders in the world.

For the facet of obeying unjust laws, it is also necessary because our society is not a ideal one and we should call for our interests and some times other's interests. The most striking example is Martin Luther King who call for the equal rights for the black men. Due to the unjust laws and unfair restrictions of America, American blacks were confined to be the second class citizens and most of the people were not enjoying the equal rights. It is Martin Luther King who fight for the unfair laws that light a candle for the blacks' future and give them equal rights back. Without fighting against it, the blacks will still live in the dark.

Now that we have known that both obeying just laws and disobeying unjust ones are necessary we face another question that which one is more important? As the author asserts, which I fully agree with, it is more important to disobey and resist unjust laws. For one thing, it is just like the studying process which has two ways to learn- through receiving and questioning. The first one likes obeying laws and the second just like disobeying laws because it is done by asking and doubting. Through questioning and critic thinking we can gain more than we just receiving, and we can even create. This is the function of disobeying unjust laws. For another thing, we have to disobey unjust laws because none of the laws in the world can be a lasting one. As the president of the U.S,Thomas Jefferson once said “No society can make a perpetual constitution, or even a perpetual law.” Laws should be updated because it can not always take effect in the fast developing world. Thus, to make our world become better and better, we should take action to fight against the unjust laws.

In sum, we should both obey the just laws and disobey the unjust laws while the latter is more important for us and out society.
