Movies and televisions, with the development of technology, become more and more important in people's daily lives. They greatly affect our behavior through many different ways. Of these approaches, two ways should be mentioned :one is offering topics discussed in the society; the other is influencing the way in which we define” important issues".

First of all, movies and televisions provide us a large amount of topics that affect our behaviors a lot. As to movies, for instance, one of the greatest movies in history,” Titanic", brought a worldwide uproar by its unforgettable immortal love. In my hometown, many couples rash into the movie theaters to see this moving movie even the tickets are somewhat expensive to them, and many lovers suggested that they would learn from “Jack and Rose”(two main characters in the movie) when they are covered by journalists. Take another example of television, the Phoenix TV in Hong Kong, spent several weeks to cover the old Japanese solders in the Second World War to show the of these solders repentance to kill so many Chinese people. This program surprised many Chinese audiences and successfully eliminating the aggression on the Japanese for their ambiguous attitudes towards the Second World War. In short, the impact of offering topics to people is undeniable effective.

Furthermore, with movies and televisions, people define the important issues or noticeable characters as what these mass media want to emphasize. We can easily find that, in common movies, editors tend to spend more time to narrate the stories of few figures than to tell something about other characters. Similarly, program producers are likely to underline few events which he believe important, in contrast, other events will be told in few words. Consequently, those matters or characters emphasized will impress us so much that we almost ignore the rest. In this way, we tend to define those things as "important matters or figures"

In conclusion, by supplying topics of discussing and affecting the way in which we define important issues or figures, movies and televisions greatly influence people's behavior in the society.
