I strongly agree that Scandals serve to focus the general populace’s attention on problems. Admittedly, one of the most important roles for our media is to disclose the truth for public. However, the scandals published with ill aim could diminish public figures’ reputation. Moreover, there are also some speakers and reformers achieve the same results through speeches and reform activities. Thus, the speaker overstates how scandals may change our life and people’s minds.
In general, the main responsibility for our media is to arouse public’s attention of their surroundings and urge the policy makers to find methods to improve the development of our society. Scandals provide for we ordinary people a way to discover public figures’ secrets and their character flaws from which some things could jeopardize our interests and rights are exposed. Besides that, scandals also correct our initial impression about the public figures and scrutinize them in justice. Through scandals, celebrities are no longer mystic as we think before. We may clearly observe them in a proper and all-round way in which their social accountabilities could not be magnified. Thus, we could follow what they do correctly and avoid from advocating their bad manners.
However, although scandals navigate us in right way, proclaim them overly could get opposite results. No matter how successful the public figures are, they are born with some flaws in characteristics or they are weakness in other fields. Once scandals exposed, their reputations may be diminished and little chances for them to be respected again. Furthermore, once scandals about their mistakes in politics or in academy disclose by people with bad aim of destroying celebrities’ future or gaining their own success as rivals through unjust way, little chances left for them to defend for themselves. From the view of justice in society, we should prevent the prevalence of rumors and scandals and bring clean air for our society.
Moreover, some speakers and reformers also play a crucial role in arousing public consciousness. Speeches addressed by speakers have the power of inspiring public and lead common people to devote to their nations through enthusiastic and impressive way. Reformers use policies that affect the trends of social and economical developments to change people’s minds and arouse their attentions.
In sum, scandals do urge people to pay attention on some problems. A proper way of publication may have good results in improving the development of society. Any overly disseminate the scandals may denigrate the public figures’ humanities. Speakers and reformers arouse the public attentions as scandals.
