------题目------
How children are socialized today determines the destiny of society. Unfortunately, we have not yet learned how to raise children who can help bring about a better society.
------正文------
Is the destiny of society determined by how children are socialized today? Is it the fact that people have not yet learned how to raise children who can help bring about a better society? Of course not.
Admittedly, socialization is important, whether to individuals, organizations, and counties. Getting along with others perfectly provides individuals with affable friends and teammates, and make individual lives happy and enjoyable. Excellent cooperation enables individuals to obtain resources and helps in neighborhoods and working places, and contribute to individual success. Socialization of individuals makes organizations and countries operate smoothly, and thus ensures steady social improvement. As the socialization in individuals' childhood can help them to become much more socialized in future, how children are socialized today plays a significant role in the destiny of society.
However, the importance of socialization cannot be over evaluated, as the success of individuals, which greatly contributes to the development of human society, is usually determined by individual talents and abilities other than socialization. In the realm of business, though a successful manager should be socialized enough to achieve the steady operation of the company, the most crucial factor for a manager to reach high profits is the ability to predict future market status. In the realm of politics, though a successful leader should be socialized enough to gain supports from parties and officials, the greatest leaders impressed ordinary residents by their respectable morality and the ability to make difficult but correct decisions, rather than their diplomacy and corresponding social relationships. In the field of academy, the most successful scholars depend on their intelligence and assiduity, rather than socialization, while in the domain of arts, talents are apparently much more important than socialization. As a result, socialization cannot determine the destiny of a society.
Besides, it is unverified to claim that people have not learned how to raise children who can contribute to a better society. If people have not known how to raise children, it is impossible for human society to develop so rapidly in history as well as nowadays. Human beings have managed to produce much more food, construct much more durable houses, and invent much faster transportation tools, than their ancestors. People take care of their children, educate their children, and try to understand their children. Consequently, young generations receive love from their parents, obsorb knowledge from their teachers, can learn how to raise their future generation. Human beings have successfully avoided degeneration, and achieved a smoothly developing society. Athough people have not defined the most effective way to raise young generations, they do know how to raise future generations, and have brought up children to improve the contemporary society.
In conclusion, though socialization is important to individuals, organizations, and countries, individual success, which contributes greatly to the development of society, is influenced by many other factors, and the socialization of children cannot determine the destiny of human society. On the other hand, human beings have brought up young generations who contribute to the improvement of society, and therefore the assertion that people have not learned how to raise children who can help bring about a better society is unsubstantiated and unreasonable. |
