A socialist once told us that the appearance is the exterior expression of the interior ideas. That is, it sounds some sense that what people look, dress and act in certain society reflects the interior attitudes and interest of the society. A society’s values embrace most people’s ideas, attitudes, interests, temperament, morality, ethic, and construction of knowledge and so on which exist in heart and brain eye cannot see. In contrast, exterior includes dress, look, and behavior people can see directly. Exteriors and values seem like a couple of friends and one lives inside the body meanwhile another lives outside.

On the individual  , the close relation between ideas and appearances is why everybody almost pays so much attention to their dress, look and behavior, for individuals hope to leave a good impression to others through their appearances. What’s the reason of the cause-effect relation between values and exteriors? look at two common examples. A person who hates red color due to blood-sick impossibly often wear red dress on the street and the person who prefers sports certainly active as soon as he has free time. These instances indicate that ideas in people’s brain construct the exterior expression which results from the scientific principle of nerve in the body. That individuals whose nerves or brain is broken cannot control his behaviors is a good case to this point. Hence, socialists deem that the source of every kind of behaviors is interior idea.                          Others who want to get close to you and understand you always observe your talking and behavior and reason your interiors.

On the social , society is the collection of all pool of individuals and a society’s ideas and values are also the combination of every individual’s values, for any individual hardly lives outside of the society. Although every person has several his or her personal characters different from others. However, on a myriad of aspects, public in one country are in common because citizens have to conform some rules to live in the state well and the mainstream of habits of ideas would influence each other after several periods. Similarly, these common ideas in a society deeply influence the appearance and behavior of its people. Some words like the wind of Korea and Japan show the dressing dealings of a society in some areas. Travelers from the Korea on the Chinese street, we could readily recognize where are they from through their dressing which signifies fashion and delicacy. For example, American people who appreciate the style of terse and simplicity dress T-shirt all the time. At the same time, because of respecting freedom and personality, people’s dresses and activities are random and creative. They enjoy their own small world of ideas and they didn’t consider other’s sight at all. On the contrary, Japanese admires principles and teamwork, so they appear discreet and careful. Therefore, we could know a country’s characters from their appearances and behaviors.  

  In a word, the exteriors like screens, continues displaying what people’s thoughts and interests and a myriad of living pictures introduces different society’s ideas and values; like windows, help people understand a society or a country at first.
