Even many great works in the history cannot be used in modern social contribution. Humanity still needs to protect them and learn the creative thoughts from our ancestors. In another word, the activities of forgetting or disregarding these works’ value to modern world are stupid.

Not all the great works are used till today. We can see many examples in all over the world: the Great Wall in China once used to protect almost thousands of miles of the area in China will never be used in modern wars; American civilian no longer use the simplest equipments to explore the west land in the USA; and normal people cannot understand the meaning in old poems although hear about these arts contain amazing wealth.

Another explaining to these old honors may be that we still absorb the creative thoughts and hard working minds from watching these old works. Academic history experts research on these works all their life and explain the value of them to us. The purpose of them are told us that our ancestors' braveness, wisdom and hardworking cannot be forgotten by us. We cannot imagine how many people lost their lives during the constructing of the Great Wall for we can use machines to do these work. We cannot suffer the all day's hard work under the sun because ancestors had built a wild road by their labor for us. We cannot describe or depict the good old days so we need study from the artists' works in their time. It is our duty to learn the good moral from those great works to inspire us working for new society.

On the other hand, some of the science and technology is not translate from generation to generation containing the problems not being solved today. So the result that we cannot use them is a sadness of us, not caused by their useless. Hundreds of years ago, the Chinese doctor named Hua Tuo has creative an interesting ability to anaesthesia by string little needle into people's points without using only medicine. It is a pity that until today's latest technology cannot answer the mystery of the phenomenon and still using the medicines, which is not good for human brain and nerve system, in the operation. Most doctors have to give up using the old method for they cannot understand it. Similar things also occur in other fields.

Besides, we can find that more works done in history are still used today and some of them are better than modern works. Therefore, only by insisting study from our ancestors with right spectrum, our science and technology can develop for ever.
