182 Many people have a close relationship with their pets. These people treat their birds, cats, or
other animals as members of their family. In your opinion, are such relationships good? Why or
why not? Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.


Little animals, always acting as main characters in cartoons of TV programs for children, also play a significant role as pets in many people's real lives, especially in this luxury modern world. At the same time, some people doubt that whether such a close relationship between people and their pets is good or harm. Living with pets, as far as I am concerned, has a large numbers of benefits to people at multiple aspects.

First and most obviously, as members of those families, pets will surely bring lots of fun to people and keep them in good mood. Image that everyday when you come home, a lovely little dog has waited for you in front of the door, wagging its tail happily, with a pair of big eyes looking forward to your coming back. Facing such a cute animal, could you help not to pat it or to play with it? In addition, many pets are able to understand the mood of their masters by means of sharing in happiness, alleviating the sadness or helping them relax from the busy work. Consequently, those people who have pets as their friends will certainly gain plenty of pleasure.

Furthermore, besides the merits mentioned above, living with pets also serve as good opportunities for people to keep fit as well as to release the sense of loneliness. A resent survey showed that patting or feeding a pet could reduce the high blood pressure and the chance of coming on a heart disease. Moreover, in company with a pet, old people will not feel doleful when their children could not get together with them, and young children will not suffer loneliness when their parents left them alone at home.

Last but not least, some trained pets have several special abilities to help people in many fields. For instances, trained dogs are capable of helping blind people to cross the road and saving them from dangerous accidents. What is more, dogs also can serve as loyal gatekeepers to guard the houses when their masters are not at home. Cats are experts to catching mice, while pigeons are accurate letter carriers.

Admittedly, some people may argue that those pets are unruly and sometimes mess the house. In fact, little pets just like naughty children; if people really have good relationships with them and teach them in patience, they will get well along with people and be friendly to all the members in the family.

To sum up, the advantages of living with a pet are so many and various that I can not mention all of them here, however, just from the reasons discussed above, we may safely draw the conclusion that having a close relationship with pets plays important parts in our modern world and is doubtlessly good for our family lives.

第3段的主题句包含了两个方面，保持健康和缓解寂寞，所以那段的后两句就写了缓解寂寞。。。是不是这样衔接的不好？所以不大顺？你有什么建议吗？谢谢哦~

整体写得很好呀，只是有一些小错误：

2。has a large numbers of benefits 明显的TOEFL语法错误吧，numbers=>number。这个不应该

3。 Facing such a cute animal, could you help not to pat it or to play with it? 是要表达情不自禁的意思吗？若是的话，好像是help doing sth吧

另外写得有点长，估计考试时写不完吧。我这篇也是，写完第二条时就350了，于是就收尾了

原来是这样，关于你的第三段，如果你是说保持健康和消除寂寞，要不你在段首提出健康的概念，然后把健康分为生理健康和心理健康，这样就可以衔接了。你觉得呢？
