182 Many people have a close relationship with their pets. These people treat their birds, cats, or other animals as members of their family. In your opinion, are such relationships good? Why or why not? Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.


Pets, which play the key roles in many families, never fail to attract people. Some of the pets are acute, some are fierce, and some are tame. Birds, cats, dogs and turtles are on the list of the pets. Without any doubt, many people have a close relationship with their pets. Some of them treat their pets as members of their family. There is a debating that whether such relationships are good or harm. Personally, I think they are good.

Socially, raising pets offers an excellent topic for making friends. Birds of a feather flock together. It is obvious that it is the pets that assemble the pets-loving people. Cat-raiser clubs and dog-raiser clubs are available in most cities. Their members of the clubs can exchange the funny and sad stories of their pets. Some clubs, for instance, held the pets racing contests regularly. The themes, which may include how to feed their pets and how to train them, can be the bond of the members’ relationship. Pets, therefore, are vital to the pets-lovers.

Emotionally, pets can teach us many things in the process of caring for them. They can not speak in our language. The communication between the pets and the raisers, therefore, must be done by the body language or actions. The ability to observe and to love is too paramount to be ignored. Why the pets are crying, why they are anxious, and why they are exulting are needed the exploration. In addition, some pets, such as the dogs, can teach us what the loyalty is.

Pets are after all lives too. The interaction between pets and raisers can add colour to the dull routine of everyday life. They may be messy, noisy and lazy, but they can be the mediums that make the raisers more friendly, more patient, and more interesting.
