I agree with the speaker that video camera as an new output of technology,provides us an accurate and vivid record of contemporary life, especially ,when it comes to the documents of temporal and spacial records.Nevertheless, written records still services significant role and be  in providing  more accurate and convincing evidence for statistical or complex situations, which cannot be replaced by video  cameras.

First of all, for the purpose of recording temporal and spacial moments, video camera get an advantage of documenting sound and providing vivid pictures, thereby; be seemingly attractive and accurate than tedious written versions.Consider , for example, the video versions for wedding , great festivals , and traveling experiences.Understandably , the merry atmosphere and real situations can only be recorded effectively by using video cameras whose basic ability contains documenting sound and pictures at the first hand. On the other hand ,people can only remind their feeling about outside environment by writing diaries or articles, which misses many details and prones to be subjective than video or photographic versions, since neither the readers can see the real situations by their eyes with details of recorded events, nor the writers be able to dispose their subjective elements when making written records.

However, when it comes to recording statistical evidence and complex situations, using written records is more effective and accurate than applying video camera.Under some certain situations , the former might be the only choice for us.To illustrate this, I would like concern the situations of financial calculation of business. Both companies and a country's financial department need certain work of calculating their overall expense and income during certain period of time to make sure the each organization or department can make plan for the future financial programs or further investment. Then workers in accounting department would provide written forms or record to substantiate the economic situations and learn about how the inner financial system operates and in which part they made fail investment, all of which cannot be presented by pictures or videos.

Finally, video camera take little part in providing convincing evidence for justice process or political events because of its nature drawbacks of easily being changed the appearance by technological skills.written records are more persuasive than pictures or videos. with the advanced technology skills ,people can change the pictures , cut parts of videos,or add sound and new stuff to digital works as their wish, which Inextricably undermines the convince level for the documentation from video camera. This is also the reason why people are more likely rely on written record to make a contract in business or providing evidence in court. Admittedly, written versions of documents are less vivid than video ones ,in politics, the contracts between two countries are still more likely being recorded and substantiated by paper versions which are more convincing.

In the final analysis, I concede that video camera provides our life with great convinence by documenting life moments accurately and vividly. However, notwithstanding the comparatively tedious and unattractive appearance, written documentation still plays great role by providing us convincing evidence of complex issues.
