The speaker asserted that the artist, not the critic, who gives society something of lasting value. People first take a glimpse might think that this issue sounds convincing, far more analysis must be find that exist some faulty ones. In my pinion of view, not only the artist, but more importantly the critic contribute and create some permanently valuable things to the society.

I concede that the speaker is on the correct philosophical side of this issue. After all, the artists make significant masterpieces to the whole humankind. Accordingly, when speak of the artistic work, people would naturally associate them with the greatest writers, painters, musicians and so forth. First in the literature level, Mark Twain, is the founder of American literary realism criticism, the world famous short story master, and his work ironically exposes the complete darkness with the reality of the sociality and the ethic discrimination. All of his works are the cornerstone of the literature in Unite State. In the painting lever, however, Paul Cezanne, representative of the late impression, known as the “father of modern painting”, his work open up the history of art of a new era. In the music lever, Beethoven Ludwig, one of Germany’s greatest musicians, created a large number of fine works era art, such as: Symphony “hero”, “Destiny”, opened romantic period music to the world of music and titled “Music St”. To support the statement the speaker might point out the three ostensible facts of the art critic. Firstly, critic, under some unusual circumstances, has some counterproductive function and negatives effect to the learners. Secondly, to the large degree, critic impel maybe even impose the some personal ideas to the readers or learners, that means our individuals’ perspective in this case will be effected a lot by the critics. Thirdly, moreover, the critical judgments are often misguided by the ego; in any event, the true value of the work might be doubt. Consider, for example, Shakespeare, famous English poem and dramatist, “soul of the time” in Renaissance of European, were badly and unfairly criticized by other writers in contemporaneity.

However, reflecting on these arguments mentioned above, I would give you some reasons to support my statement. At the beginning, critic can help us understand and appreciate art. After all, critics are expert to the extent in this field, who are more familiar with work, thus they have more unique insight and spectacular view to understand yet explain the art accurately and reasonably comparing with the out layers. It is the critic’s perspective that enables us to understand the thought of the writer more deeply, using the philosophic thought to discovering, observing, even exploring the theory. What’s more, critic helps us to determine which art worth us to approach to, to pay much attention to, and to get close to. Take the best-sell book for example, certain books, just so call most popular in mass public, actually have little valuable, profound ,enlighten aspects to learn and to read. Critics, however, indicate or tell us what is good or what is bad, what is worthwhile or what is discarded. In other word, we can save a great number of time and energy to the far greatest extend to distinguish the good or evil, in this way; much attention will be paid to some significant and worthwhile work. The last but not the least, critics, nevertheless, provide the feedback for artists and such constructive criticism, if taken properly, can create better work. There is no better example to illustrate this contention, dream of the red chamber, one of the greatest literature works in China, can hardly so prevail and welcome to all over the world without thousand of critics, translators, experts put their heart and soul to evaluate the famous work.

To the sum, it is the artists who create the aesthetical to promote and enrich the emotional world and provide the nourishment to human beings. On the other hand, critics express their special perspective to motivate and encourage the art to arrive a higher lever. Without artists, the world will become dull and bore, no beautiful thing exist; without critics, though the whole word full of flowers and birds, no one can discover. Thus, both the artists and the critics give society something of lasting value.
