TOPIC: ISSUE154 - "Both parents and communities must be involved in the local schools. Education is too important to leave solely to a group of professional educators."

As the statement claims that parents must participate in local schools, I agree with this opinion. Because professional educators and parents own different advantages and disadvantages of education both of them must be involved. If they can work together, education can be more effective and helpful.

For education is not a simple process, parents and professional educators, standing on different stages, are both necessary. Apparently, parents are the first teachers of every child, and they are also the closest persons of them, thus they have most information about their children, such as their hobby, their characteristics and so on. What is more, because of the natural emotion from parents to children, all parents will create best environment to their children. And if communities take part in education, they can give more information about society which may make education be closer to the present society. So parents are important in children's education. Meanwhile professional educators at schools are also significant in education process. They are more professional about education, since education is their careers which call for their responsibilities and patience. And they get along with numbers of students, face various problems of different children, therefore they have sufficient experience to solve kinds of troublesome. After all, parents and educators are both important roles.

However, beside the advantages of parents and communities education, they also have many disadvantages which might influence the efficient of schools education. For example, most time, parents, who are full of love, are not able to be strict enough to criticize children when necessary, especially young mothers. They cannot persuade themselves to be more objective, even they may think critics are over crucial. Imagining such a picture, a teacher and a mother have serious quarrels about a decision of a child, doubtlessly, parents then does not help to educate the child at all.  For communities, if they participate more in education, they may bring some unnecessarily extra pressure to educations. In a word, although parents are passionate and active in teaching, sometimes they are not helpful.

As well as parents may decrease efficient of education, professional educators also have their disadvantages in schools education. For instance, every school, owning hundreds of teachers, always enroll thousands of students. This proportion between teachers and students cannot assure every student can draw enough attentions from educators. That is to say, there must be several students who are ignored. And for those children, it is difficult to believe that they can be educated patient and carefully. What is worse, if the ignorance last long time, some psychological problems will occur, such as inconfidence, depression and so on. Therefore, when currant educational resources are limited, some drawbacks of professional educators' work at school cannot be solved easily.

To sum up, parents and communities should be involved schools education, while professional educators are also necessary. Only when they play different roles in education effectively and harmoniously education can be well developed.
