issue99 In any realm of life-whether academic, social, business, or political-the only way to succeed is to take a practical, rather than an idealistic, point of view. Pragmatic behavior guarantees survival, whereas idealistic views tend to be superseded by simpler, more immediate opinions.

  The speaker inserts that no matter in any fields such as academic, social, business, or political, it is necessary for any individual to hold a practical rather than an idealistic point if view to gain great achievements. I surely agree with the speaker that idealistic views easily tend to be superseded by simpler, more immediate opinions for that idealism keep people staying on the same spot, and thus prevent them from going forward.
   Practical points of view lead people to great success in that the world is full of unforeseen facts, elements, or even human behaviors, what consequences can be brought about by one single progress? No one knows the definite answer to this question for that without any exception, each single thing, or each single person is in the chain of the diverse world, everything is possible there the complex universe comes into being. Faced with the overwhelming complexity, one should carefully schedule the program and untangle the folded coils step by step only through this way can one practically and efficiently get the perplex appearance off and thus aim the coin inside.
  Simply put, pragmatism help individuals to take the compelling complexity systematically and clearly, and to prevent people from being overwhelmed by the illusion resulted from the entangled facts, thus lead individuals to survive in heated competition and even brought about great success.
  On the contrary, idealism comes only from unfamiliarity with the whole concrete facts as a result inevitably lead people to false conclusion. Idealism can only bring individuals ineffective program which is really fantastic illusion, undoubtedly it can not work and thus tend to be supplanted by simpler, more immediate opinion. Idealist always hold beautiful minds and conceived imaginations towards things, people, or even facts, no matter how the real world works they just think things goes as the way they think. This definitely led them to extreme fantasy instead of efficient measurements to solve the problem, in contrast, only obstacle on the way to solve it.
  The most convincing example lies in the sphere of academic. As we know, science needs evidence to support the theory or axiom on the basis of which can we accordingly get piles of other hypothesis truly. Suppose the evidence is conceived of by scientists according to their experience or even assumption instead of actual facts, what will happen to our science system?  Surely confusion, people confused when they check the theories approved by the ideal scientists strictly according to regulations sited in the theory, but results turn out to be different from the scientist has ever predicted. The foundation is not solid, let alone the hypothesis on  base of it. Academic don't need idealism, in fact academic should avoid it. Furthermore, we should apply pragmatics in this field to get practical and true theory.
  Another example comes from the realm of politics. Politics is an art of gracefully getting along with other countries. President take in charge of the whole country that should not be ideal, interactions between different states are not so on board, sometimes there are compromise, sometimes there are deception, and sometimes there are occupation. President has to practically schedule diplomatic policy which easily cause wars, conflicts and combats, other than ideally wish it should be peaceful and harmonious. Moreover prevent people from bullies in and abroad.
  To sum up, practical idea should applied in any realm of life for that it guarantee individuals survive in burning competition or even succeed in the complex world. Idealism should be avoided for that it leads people to fantasy and prevent them from aggressively and ambitiously going forward.
