The statement claims that only when education is specially designed for each student will it be really effective. In general, I do not agree with the assertion though I think it has merits to some extent.
Firstly, do you believe that schools could be able to arrange different curriculums for each student? I am afraid not. In the first place, it could be hardly imagined that there are enough teachers to satisfy these students because every one of them has his or her own interests, including many eccentric ones you could not even think of such as. In the second place, evaluation of students would be barely performed since students of different interests take dissimilar courses. So, in this sense, it is impossible for schools to meet each student's distinctive need and interest.(这一段全部都是否定或者疑问句,总觉作为议论文口气太冲啦,不知道你自己感觉怎么样)
Secondly, more and more ranks of corporate executives are lamenting that college graduates are increasingly specialized which cause them not to adapt to the rapidly changing society. In today's society, people are not only required to hold a special skill, but also needed to have a wide knowledge so as to improve themselves in the practice. No one who is deep in an academic discipline but knows nothing about others will suits society. In a word, schools could not allow students to just study lessons they are interested for it will make them hard to adapt to society.(这一段其实开始好像都和主题兴趣与个人需要有些脱节,只有最后扯了一下,说服力欠佳)
Thirdly, as is known to everyone, every school in all countries requests students to study such courses as mathematics, history and labor skill and so forth. Is it merely a coincidence? Of course no! The reason is that these lessons are basic to students. For example, history learning tells us what happened in our country in the past, from which we feel proud of our country and then the unity is consolidated. And, mathematics is substantial for other scientific learning and also indispensable for our lives. All in all, students must be demanded to study some curriculums with no consideration of their interests.
However, all mentioned above does not mean that students have no right to learn their interested courses. In fact, besides the curriculums that are required for all students, schools should provide various elective courses for them. For example, in the United States, in many schools Chinese is not required course, nonetheless, with the rapid development of China, more and more students have interest in Chinese either for the cryptic culture or for interest in its alluring economy. Then schools may consider opening Chinese courses to appease(这个词好像不太合适用在这里的阿) students’ needs.
Though there are some other aspects related to the issue, I could not explore them in detail within the limited time. Even so, taking into account of all these factors that have been discussed above, we may come to the conclusion that only in such a way will education be effective that students learn some curriculums which are required for all of them, in the meanwhile, they have the chance to change courses according to their needs and interests.
