The speaker alerts that nonmainstream areas ,such as astrology, fortune-telling, and psychic and paranormal pursuits ,and so on ,paly a vital role in society for they satisfying human curious and transiting human feeling which are not addressed by mainstream science . Although to a certain extent nonmainstream areas really help people release their feelings , store their dreams and satisfy their curious . I observe that they are more harmful to society than benefit .

Astrology a study of planets and human behavior: the study of the positions of the Moon, Sun, and other planets in the belief that their motions affect human beings. Astrology sees mankind as being not only influenced by hereditary factors and the environment, but also by the state of our solar system at the moment of birth. The planets are regarded as basic life-forces, the tools we live by as well as the basis of our very substance. However, duing to predicting specific event replaying on specific position in glob and specific time relating with , phenomenons of planets’ movements are nearly the same in any areas of glob, which is the cause that nature science define astrology as false science .

Fortune-telling means forecasting future by observing human  appearance and hand like , shape of tea and crystal ball ,and so on .Admittedly , sometimes the forecaster indeed observes the past life of some people, but not depend on fortune-telling , just utilize the experienced insight to justify the suffering of people .

Psychic and paranormal pursuits are explained that make use of  some paranormal energy , psychic and awareness to control and change the order of world . Such as the film <Super Man >presenting that , a man full of paranormal energy , rescues several crashes . But we should be realism to consider that there are some people hold unimaginable wisdom , or smart feeling , even or special talent , and so on , but we have not find out that who can forecast future .

Indeed , nonmainstream areas satisfy human needs which mainstream study no access to solve .For example ,people are desired to satisfy  the curious of exploring some human – uncontrolled realms , such as , the cause of occurence of UFO , the myth of Burmuda Triangle and the reason of sudden disappearance of Maya Civilization ,etc. Moreover ,people hope release their feelings whatever sad or happy out of their inner world , so nonmainstream studys as media to transit their thoughts .For instance , transit the sad feeling on loosing genuine people , and share the happy with strangers , even and decrease fear on taking aware of being moral , and so on.

Meanwhile , convincing these false sciences exclusively would cause crime , radical thought and fantasy .Some illegal members would possible to utilize these studies to obtain their own illegal aims which are criminal to society .Or some people convince that human has “pass life” and “forth life”,so they are devoted their whole life to research pass and forth life , resulting in waste their present life .

Consequencly , mainstream areas of science have and would continually play the most vital role in human society , with the rapid development of mainstream science , they could explain more and more unsolved problems , whereas nonmainstream areas of study would extinct from our lives .
