People see the world on the basis of their own knowledge systems which deprive from the study of academic disciplines. So I strongly agree with the arguer's point of view that the study of an academic discipline alters the way we perceive the world. Moreover, depending on knowledge of all kinds of disciplines, people are changing the world and their own destiny.

To begin with, the study of an academic discipline develops new equipments and tools which serve well to broad our ken and deepen our understanding to world. Common sense tells us, due to the limitation of development of science and technology, people had to perceive the world in a narrowed range in ancient time. Fortunately, a myriad of advanced equipments and tools have been invented with people studying academic disciplines. Relying on these equipments and tools, people can probe for unknown fields and the view to the world is regenerated. Take microscope for example. People didn't know the existence of microgerm before the microscope is made. It is just microscope that brings people into the gate of microgerm world.

In addition, the study of an academic discipline gives us a new perspective and way of thinking when we perceive the world. As known to all, motion and quiescence is relative. In our childhood, we were sitting in the car and saw the things out of the windows moving. So we treated them as motive objects. After studying a law of relative motivation, we are finally wise up the fact that the things out of windows keep static and car is considered as the reference. Philosopher often tells us a sword always has two blades, on the other word, we must think about everything with a comprehensive perspective, both right side and wrong side. Just for example, nuclear can be utilized to generate electricity which dramatically enhances the welfare of humanity. Meanwhile, according to the philosophical view, we should perceive nuclear bombs are threatening survive of the whole humanity.

Furthermore, the study of an academic discipline not only alters the way we perceive the world, but also help people to change the world. As a advanced tool of observation, microscope help people to research bacteria and develop antibiotic and vaccine which save a myriad of people's lives. Ecology lets us know the harm of ozone hole in the atmosphere and motives humanity to take action to reduce the emission of waste gas from modern industry.

In conclusion, there is no denying that the study of an academic discipline alters the way we perceive the world, from known to unknown, from surface to inside, or from partial to complete. After studying the discipline, we see the same world with different eyes and are active in changing the world to enhance own welfare by knowledge of disciplines.
